Job Summary**
The Japan Repair Center Operation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the GE Precision Healthcare LLC repair center in Japan, focusing on process optimization, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities**
* Manage and optimize repair center workflows, including intake, diagnosis, repair, testing, and outbound logistics, to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
* Oversee spare parts inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and tracking, to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess.
* Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., field service, sales, engineering) and external vendors to facilitate timely repairs and resolve operational issues.
* Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all repaired products meet GE Healthcare standards.
* Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Prepare regular reports on repair center performance, including key metrics such as turnaround time, repair yield, and inventory accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, safety regulations, and local laws.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints related to repair services.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, or repair center environments, preferably within the medical device or high-tech industry.
* Proficiency in Japanese and English (both written and verbal) is required.
* Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
* Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485) is a plus.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
