In this role, you may contribute to projects and will also ensure upgrades, maintenance and repairs are undertaken. You will also resolve end user incidents and service requests.</p><p></p><p><u><b>Key Accountabilities:</b></u></p><p></p><p><b>System Installation / decommissioning</b></p><ul><li><p>Installs or removes hardware and/or software, and associated connections, using supplied installation instructions and tools. </p></li><li><p>Conducts tests and corrects malfunctions. </p></li><li><p>Documents results in accordance with agreed procedures. </p></li><li><p>Assists with the evaluation of change requests. </p></li><li><p>Contributes, as required, to investigations of problems and faults concerning the installation of hardware and/or software and confirms the correct working of installations.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Problem Management </b></p><ul><li><p>Investigates problems in systems, processes and services. </p></li><li><p>Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Incident Management</b></p><ul><li><p>Following agreed procedures, identifies, registers and categorises incidents. </p></li><li><p>Gathers information to enable incident resolution and promptly allocates incidents as appropriate. </p></li><li><p>Maintains records and advises relevant persons of actions taken</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>IT Infrastructure </b></p><ul><li><p>Carries out agreed operational procedures of a routine nature. </p></li><li><p>Contributes to maintenance, installation and problem resolution.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Asset Management</b></p><ul><li><p>Uses agreed procedures to create and maintain an accurate register of assets. </p></li><li><p>Performs activities related to administration of assets.</p></li><li><p>Produces routine reports to assist asset management activities and decision making.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Methods &amp; Tools</b></p><ul><li><p>Provides advice and guidance to support adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards. </p></li><li><p>Tailors processes in line with agreed standards and evaluation of methods and tools. </p></li><li><p>Reviews and improves usage and application of methods and tools.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Porting / Software configuration</b></p><ul><li><p>Assists in the configuration of software and equipment and the systems testing of platform-specific versions of one or more software products. </p></li><li><p>Documents faults, implements resolutions and retests to agreed standards.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other</b></p><ul><li><p>Carryout any other reasonable duties as requested.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Functional Competencies (Technical knowledge/Skills)</b></p><ul><li><p>Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>Ability to identify and implement process improvements.</p></li><li><p>Proactively participates in skills improvement training</p></li><li><p>Maintains an up-to-date awareness of trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes as applicable to Perceptive</p></li><li><p>A self-starter and able to work under own initiative<br /> </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience, Education, and Certifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrable experience in systems support and operations, including LAN administration, PC and User support</p></li><li><p>Basic knowledge and experience in Hardware (Intel-based equipment) and/or Software (PC based operating systems and applications)</p></li><li><p>Basic knowledge and experience of standard IP-based networking topologies, networking hardware and exposure to network standards and network protocols</p></li><li><p>English: Fluent.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Come as you are.</b></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>We&#39;re proud to be a Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
