Job Description

Role Overview
Your primary focus will be the development and maintenance of embedded software in Python for controlling mass spectrometers. You will work closely with our software lead and development team to continuously expand your technical expertise. The role also involves supporting software deployment to prototypes, as well as testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software in Python under the guidance of experienced colleagues and software leaders
  • Work hands-on with prototypes in a laboratory environment
  • Produce clear and well-structured technical documentation

Experience and Education

  • Strong interest in software development, particularly in connection with physical devices and laboratory work
  • Ongoing university studies in computer science, electronics, or natural sciences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of Python
  • Interest in C++ or embedded C for microcontrollers is a plus
  • Willingness to collaborate within a software team and contribute to related activities (e.g., testing, debugging, troubleshooting, DevOps improvements)
  • Proficiency in Czech or English
