Description

Otomagnetics is seeking to hire a grad or undergrad as intern for duration of 3 month or longer with working experience with cell culture and testing on animals. The candidate will serve within Otomagnetics team and conduct laboratory research. Responsibilities: 1. Proposes and undertakes a mentored, innovative project or challenge 2. Designs and performs in vitro and animal experiments, analyzes and presents the outcome 3. Conduct experiments to identify and validate drug targets 4. Support assay design, optimization, validation, and data analyses 5. Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments 6. Troubleshoot and analyze complex data in support of drug discovery projects Qualifications: - Experience with tissue culture - Demonstrated hands-on experience in developing various functional cell-based signaling assays (eg. Western blotting, Luminex, ELISA, MSD etc.) in recombinant and primary cells - Expertise in databases, data analysis & analytics and specialized analysis tools is required - Self-motivated and a proven ability to work in a multifunctional team setting - Detail-oriented, highly organized with the ability to run multiple interleafed projects - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability and desire to master new skills, methods and technologies that enhance departmental capabilities - The candidate must have in vivo experience working with mice (handling, dosing, tissue harvesting) Education/Training: - Current BS, MS and PhD student - Recent graduates are welcome to apply - Education background in chemistry, biochemistry, bioorganic chemistry, pharmaceutics, or related field.
