Internal Product Specialist- Consumables & Chemicals (m/f/d)

Avantor is looking for an Internal Product Specialist- Consumables & Chemicals to join our team in Debrecen, Hungary.

You will provide administrative and commercial support to the Sales Team, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of quotations, pricing updates, customer communication, and sales-related administration. You will partner closely with Sales Representatives to deliver an outstanding customer experience for our Hungarian B2B customers and supporting the Consumables and Chemicals product portfolio.

Working Model: This is a full-time, permanent and hybrid position, combining office-based and remote work. Our office is located in Debrecen.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related scientific field is required.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Laboratory Support, Customer Support, Sales Support, or similar customer-facing role. Experience working with quotations, sales administration, or order management is required.

Languages: Fluent Hungarian and Good English communication skills, both verbal and written are mandatory.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of SAP ERP and C4C CRM systems is needed.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously.

Key Competencies

• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills. Experience supporting B2B customers is preferred.
• Ability to prepare and manage complex quotations.
• Strong organizational and time management and collaboration skills.

How you will thrive and make an impact

• Back-office support: Prepare quotations based on customer requests received through the central quotation management system (C4C CRM) within 48 hours or by the customer-specified deadline. If clarification or additional information is required from either the customer or the field sales representative, inform the Sales Manager via C4C and document the reason for the delay.

• Inbound calls: Ensures seamless customer service, maintains and increases customer satisfaction, and handles the necessary sales administration.

• Collaborate with field sales representatives during the quotation process, providing updates and requesting information as needed.
• Maintain and update product portfolio price lists within the SAP ERP system.

• Maintain contact with suppliers and distributors of the assigned product portfolio during the quotation process and participate in price negotiations.

• Provide customers with detailed technical documentation, professional materials, and product-related information accompanying quotations.

• Monitor market conditions and recommend the implementation of discounts or fixed pricing agreements within the business management system.

• Prepare and coordinate marketing-related activities for the assigned product portfolio, including proposing promotions, campaigns, and the distribution of general product information materials.

• Participate in professional training programs and subsequently deliver internal training sessions to sales teams to share acquired knowledge.

• Participate in supplier meetings and negotiation
• Carries out commercial/sales activities in accordance with the company's business policy
