Intern Research Scientist - Ann Arbor, MI

Based at our Ann Arbor, MI site, the Intern Research Scientist will play a vital role in supporting the development and integration of cutting-edge optical technologies in healthcare solutions. These advanced platforms will be applied in fundamental research as well as within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

Under guidance, the intern will be expected to regularly and systematically design and execute experiments, analyze data, and report results. Collaboration with internal subject matter experts will be essential to understand the applications of emerging technologies.

*Onsite role based at our Ann, Arbor, MI site*

What you will accomplish together with us:

• Contribute to the design and validation of optical analytical tools. 
• Gather and analyze data, perform cell studies using optical modalities and report the findings. 
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support R&D efforts and integration of new methodologies into existing workflows. 

What will convince us:

Education: 

• Completed a Master's program or enrolled in a PhD program in Bioengineering, Biology, Chemistry, or closely related discipline  

Experience: 

• Hands-on experience with operating light microscopes. 
• Hands-on experience with advanced optical imaging techniques- 3D confocal fluorescence, Raman microspectroscopy, fluorescence light sheet, etc. - are preferred but not required. 
• Proficiency in one of the following programming languages for spectral analysis and data processing: Python, R, Matlab, etc. (Python strongly preferred) 
• Experience in systematic experimentation and troubleshooting in a laboratory setting. 
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments, with leadership experience in academic and professional settings.
