Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare quotations and other documentation materials that explain products and services to the outside sales team and customers.
Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of the company's product line
Provide expertise and support to the sales team to communicate products, services, and client needs.
Collaborate with the outside sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support. Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications.
Work closely with the Engineering team to correctly specify standard and custom equipment needed to solve a client’s needs and quote the equipment accordingly.
Calculate the estimated costs for equipment and ensure the accuracy of quotations prior to sending to the outside sales team and customers.
Assist with creating technical marketing and sales support materials as needed.
Manage change orders and make necessary updates and modifications to sales orders and projects.
Communicate via calls and email with the outside sales team and customers for sales requests.
Quote the scope of repairs and estimated costs to the customer & finalize total costs based on actual time and materials.
Enter orders in the ERP system, obtain delivery dates from the Operations/Planning Team, and provide a handoff packet of all pertinent information for design to the Engineering Team.
Update CRM data daily in Salesforce.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required -
Bachelor’s Degree; or associate's degree with 2 years of experience.
Technical aptitude with strong ability to learn and apply technical knowledge related to products and processes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
Possess strong math skills.
Possess good mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
Ability to remain calm and professional during peak periods of activity.
Preferred -
Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Quotation Specialist, Technical Sales, or equivalent role
Basic understanding of manufacturing procedures
The ability to read engineering drawings
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
