If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Summary</h2><p>To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an <b>Industrial Process Engineer</b> located in <b>Salt Lake City, UT.</b></p><p>Reporting to the <b>Manager of Industrial Engineering,</b> the<b> Industrial Process Engineer </b>is responsible for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.</p><p><b>What a typical day looks like:</b></p><ul><li>Provides process time estimation to the quote team.</li><li>Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and or adequate tools.</li><li>During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.</li><li>Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team, work measurement programs and examines work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.</li><li>Examines staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.</li><li>Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.</li><li>Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.</li><li>May develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.</li><li>Develops management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.</li><li>Designs or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.</li><li>Manages and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas like Lean, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.</li></ul><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, related field.</li><li>4&#43; years of experience as an industrial or process engineer – working in a warehousing environment preferably out of a large manufacturing company.</li><li>Must have industry work experience with FI-FO (First In-First Out), Capacity Planning, dealing with incoming inventory, dealing with SKUs.  </li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD regarding floor layout design and optimization, required.</li><li>Must also have experience dealing with egress, red zones, etc.</li><li>Previous experience with capacity analysis, time studies, labor costs and reduction, required.</li><li>Must be comfortable - and effective in - communicating with and presenting to internal and external customer audiences (e.g. up to and including director and vice president-level)</li><li>Experience with Continuous Improvement, including but not limited to leading Kaizens, Small Group Activities and other cross functional, on-site lean events, required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>JT05</b></p><p><b>AA01 </b><br /><b>MS14 </b><br /><b>CC11 </b></p><p><b><span>SD20</span></b></p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>What you&#39;ll receive for the great work you provide:</b></p><ul><li>Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Short-term and Long-term Disability</li><li>Matching 401(k) Contributions</li><li>Vacation and Paid Sick Time</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>Production Engineering<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Is Sponsorship Available?</p>No<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
