Hiring for various shifts. </div><div>  </div><div>Primary Job Functions </div><div>This is not an exhaustive list and employees in these classifications frequently may be required to perform additional duties. Not all classifications will be required to perform all job functions. </div><div><ul><li>Mask off components such as valves, trucks, couplers, or areas of the surface not to be sprayed. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Select coatings following work specifications and prepares equipment for spraying. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Mixes coating according to specifications and applies the coating to install or repair a section of a coating using airless spray equipment to the exterior of a tank car. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Cleans and maintains spraying equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Apply decals as required to the tank or hopper car exterior. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Inspects finished product for overall quality and follow established safety procedures. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner and reports potential hazards. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Eligibility Requirements </div><div><ul><li>Must have a high school diploma, GED, or pass a Combined Basic Skills Test </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience or knowledge in the use of painting/blasting tools, not limited to paint guns, sanding tools, material blasters, grinding tools, etc. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Must be able to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Safety and quality focused </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Willingness to wear required PPE at all times and always work safely. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Be available to work any shift, and be dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts including overtime, as allowed per the union contract </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Environmental & Working Conditions </div><div><ul><li>Will have to lift 50 pounds safely and drag blast hose over the full length of railcar </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Will perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>May work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 4 ft. off the ground with proper PPE and fall protection </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Why Join Our Team? </div><div>We take pride in offering our employees rich benefits packages.
