Expertise required in mixing and matching pigment, oil, base and thinner in the right proportion to attain the desired outcome. Maintains a safe work area and may train apprentices in the trade.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>Responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, enamel, varnishes and other finishes using brushes, rollers and sprayers. Maintains a safe work area and may train apprentices in the trade.</p><p>Job Requirements:</p><ul><li>Able to clean grease, dirt, rust, old paint from equipment using solvent, water, rags, brushes, pneumatic wire brush and chipping hammer.</li><li>Knowledgeable in the use of painting/blasting tools not limited to paint guns, sanding tools andmaterial blasters, grinding tools, etc.</li><li>Mix and apply uniform paint coatings according to customer and industry specifications.</li><li>Prepares equipment for painting and blasting restoration, tapes and mask equipment, mixespaint and color matches.</li><li>Inspects finished product for overall quality and follow established safety procedures.</li><li>Ability to work around chemicals and fumes common to paint and body repair.</li><li>Lift up to 50 pounds as needed and perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.</li><li>Able to pass drug screen and physical.</li></ul><p></p><p>What We Offer:</p><ul><li>UTLX strives to be the Employer of Choice.
