Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma. &nbsp;</div>Legend Biotech is seeking an Immuno-oncology Intern&nbsp;as part of the Research &amp; Early Development team based in Piscataway, NJ. Role Overview The intern candidate will evaluate the functional and cytotoxic potential of CAR-T cells and other immune cells using various assays, with a particular focus on cellular assay and cytokine analysis. They will also investigate the correlation between the polyfunctional index and serial cytotoxicity across multiple donors. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Perform transfection for virus production and conduct ELISA- or flow cytometry-based virus titration.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Conduct PBMC transduction and functional evaluation.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Carry out multiple assays, including cytokine analysis.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Perform tumor killing assays using Incucyte or flow cytometry.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Analyze and interpret experimental data, present results to the manager, and share findings in group meetings.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Work under the supervision of the manager and senior team members. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Independently carry out routine experimental work, basic data analysis, and documentation according to established protocols.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Suggest technical approaches or troubleshooting ideas, but all experimental plans, data interpretation, and project decisions require review and approval by the manager or designated mentor. </li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Decisions related to project scope, timelines, resources, or strategic direction will remain under management oversight.&nbsp;</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology or a related field.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lab experience and good practice of basic techniques (e.g., pipetting, microscopy, cell culture).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity or conceptual understanding of transfection/transduction, flow cytometry, ELISA, and other immunoassays.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Understanding of biological concepts and interests related to the internship focus (e.g., genetics, immunology, cell and molecular biology).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Attention to detail for lab work and data recording.</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Graphpad Prism, R, Python).</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Languages preferred: English &amp; Mandarin.&nbsp;</li> </ul> &nbsp; #Li-JR1 #Li-Contract<div class="content-conclusion">Please note: These benefits are offered exclusively to permanent full-time employees.
