The key responsibility of this role is to support Additions & Alterations (A&A) construction activities during the renovation of rooms and ensure readiness for Philips IGT system installation by Philips engineers. The H&S Professional must be able to quickly understand the nature and scope of A&A works and ensure that contractors comply with all applicable MOH, customer, and MOM safety requirements.
A&A (Additions and Alterations) construction refers to renovation or construction projects that modify, extend, or upgrade an existing building or structure without full demolition. This type of work typically involves enhancements to existing infrastructure, including room modifications and system upgrades, and generally results in an increase of less than 50% in gross floor area (GFA), while improving structural resilience and supporting operational requirements.
In this role, you will be part of the APAC Zone Health and Safety team, reporting to the APAC H&S Leader and based in Indonesia where you can take full use of your expertise and experience in health and safety. You will be pivotal in improving the Philips H&S performance and reducing operational risks by driving the Philips Contractor Health and Safety Management Program in Indonesia
Your role:
Planning and implementing the Contractor Health & Safety Management Program
Collect data and analyse on the legal and customer H&S requirements
Deliver technical support for commercial projects, including contractor safety assessments.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
You will require to travel to around Indonesia area in 40% of your work time within Indonesia.
Key Activities
Monitor Contractor Health & Safety targets and performance monthly.
Consolidate data and assist in preparing quarterly reports for submission to the Ministry of Manpower.
Support workplace incident investigations, including root cause analysis and preparation of reports with actionable recommendations.
Perform periodic safety inspections at the customer sites to ensure consistency of the Health & Safety implementation.
Preparing and delivering Health & Safety briefings, campaigns, and communication to relevant contractors and involved stakeholders.
Support ISO 45001 implementation and compliance activities.
Assist in executing Health & Safety audit procedures for internal, corporate, and external audits.
Provide support for commercial tender submissions related to the Health & Safety documentation and procedures.
Manage Health & Safety requirements for the installation projects, such as delivery during the Kick-Off Meeting, work permit submission, and contractor pre-assessments.
Share Health & Safety best practices, information, advice to the relevant parties.
You're the right fit if you have:
Bachelor degree or above
Fluent in English
10+ years of experience in EHS management in managing Contractor safety and Construction business environment
Familiar with the implementation of the ISO 45001 management system, certified internal auditor preferred
Strong knowledge of Indonesia laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and people engagement skills.
Experience in Environment, Health and Safety Risk Management processes.
Familiar with the electrical safety requirements and project management.
Team player, goal-oriented and pragmatic (gets things done)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, well organized.
Proficient in documentation and reporting.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
