HR Generalist

<p style="text-align:inherit"> </p><p>Are you an experienced and proactive HR Generalist who wants to provide first-line operational HR support to line managers and employees across our EMEA region?</p><p></p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support while gaining exposure to employment practices across Europe.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>The Role</b></p><p></p><p>As our HR Generalist, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers, managing employee relations matters, supporting compliance and ensuring smooth HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle.</p><p></p><p>This is a hands-on, varied role combining employee relations, organisational support, engagement initiatives, and operational HR administration.</p><ul><li>Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees on all employee relations matters</li><li>Manage a broad range of casework including disciplinaries, grievances and absence management</li><li>Coach and support managers to strengthen their people management capability</li><li>Help deliver a consistent and engaging employee experience, including onboarding, inductions, and support engagement initiatives and communications</li><li>Produce contracts, variations and employee documentation across the full lifecycle (transfers, promotions, resignations etc.)</li><li>Manage the HR inbox (references, employee requests, information queries)</li><li>Support payroll processes and wider HR administrative activities</li><li>Track, analyse and interpret HR metrics including sickness absence, turnover and exit interview trends.</li><li>Use data insights to advise managers on key focus areas and develop improvement initiatives.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>About You:</b></p><p></p><p>You’re a proactive and credible HR professional who enjoys balancing HR administration, employee relations and data analysis.</p><p></p><p>You’re organised, resilient, and a self-starter with the professional courage to handle sensitive situations with fairness and integrity.</p><p></p><p>You have:</p><ul><li>CIPD Level 3 (minimum)</li><li>Solid experience managing employee relations casework</li><li>Experience working with HR systems</li><li>Strong analytical skills – you’re comfortable working with absence, turnover and feedback data and turning this into meaningful insight</li><li>A high level of professionalism and confidentiality</li><li>Confidence to professionally challenge and influence line managers</li><li>Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Experience of European employment law or languages such as Spanish, Italian or Dutch would be advantageous</li><li>A collaborative mindset and willingness to support across the HR shared service function</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What’s in It for You?</b></p><ul><li>You can join a HR team supporting the wider EMEA region</li><li>You’ll gain exposure to employment law and HR practices across multiple European countries</li><li>You can develop your skills and experience in HR areas you haven’t yet been exposed to</li><li>The ability to support and deliver on key HR projects.</li><li>Be part of a collaborative, supportive HR function where your contribution genuinely matters</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Location/Benefits:</b></p><p></p><p>This is a full time role working from our site in Belton (near Loughborough).</p><ul><li>Starting salary of £33,256 (or more depending on experience)</li><li>33 days’ holiday (including 8 bank holidays)</li><li>Pension, life assurance, and income protection (after qualifying period)</li><li>Flexible benefits including private healthcare, dental, tech discounts, and retail savings</li><li>Employee wellbeing support via EAP, fitness and wellness platform, and mental health resources</li></ul><p></p><p><b>You’ll need a driving licence as we’re in a rural location with no public transport to the site.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Due to biosecurity requirements, you can’t keep pet rodents or rabbits.
