Lead the China market technology agenda by connecting business priorities with secure, scalable, and locally relevant digital solutions. The role drives adoption, market execution, risk management, and business value across China while ensuring alignment with regional and global technology strategy.
The Director, CBT China is accountable for shaping and delivering the technology strategy for the China market. This role partners with business, technology, regional, and global leaders to translate market priorities into practical digital solutions that improve business performance, user experience, compliance, and operational resilience.
The leader serves as the senior technology partner for China Business stakeholders supported by CBT , representing market needs in regional and global planning, driving disciplined execution, and ensuring solutions are designed for China’s business, regulatory, security, language, and adoption needs.
· Define and lead the China market technology agenda in alignment with business strategy, regional priorities, enterprise architecture, security, and compliance expectations.
· Partner with China business leaders, GS Suzhou leaders and external partners to identify technology priorities, external benchmarking, shape demand, manage trade-offs, and convert business needs into clear roadmaps and delivery plans.
· Drive execution of key digital, data, automation, service, and platform initiatives that improve growth, productivity, user experience, and operational resilience.
· Represent China market requirements in regional and global governance, ensuring solutions are locally relevant while avoiding unnecessary fragmentation.
· Track delivery performance, adoption, value realization, risk, and service outcomes, and take action when priorities are blocked or misaligned.
· Serve as the primary technology partner for China leadership, providing clear advice, escalation support, and decision-ready recommendations.
· Build trusted relationships across business, technology, security, compliance, data, operations, and regional teams to accelerate delivery and remove barriers.
· Ensure technology plans reflect China market realities, including business model needs, local regulations, cybersecurity expectations, data considerations, language, user experience, and adoption requirements.
· Create clear operating rhythms, governance, and communication channels so decisions, risks, dependencies, and progress are visible to the right leaders.
· Lead and influence matrixed teams across China, regional, and global technology groups to deliver against shared business outcomes.
· Build capability in market technology leadership, digital adoption, product thinking, data, automation, risk awareness, and disciplined execution.
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, continuous improvement, and responsible use of technology.
· 10 or more years of progressive technology leadership experience, including market, regional, product, digital, data, security, or enterprise transformation roles.
· Strong understanding of China business, technology, regulatory, cybersecurity, data, and operating environment considerations.
· Proven ability to influence senior leaders, shape roadmaps, manage trade-offs, and drive execution across matrixed teams.
· Experience delivering digital, AI, data, automation, platform, or service technology initiatives with measurable adoption and business value.
· Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology topics into practical business decisions.
Up to 20 percent domestic and international travel.
