Upgrade to Pro — $25/moWe are looking for a consumer-driven Senior Scientist in Skin & Hair Follicle Physiology to help shape the future of Philips Grooming & Beauty innovations backed by a strong scientific foundation. You will bring deep expertise in skin physiology, skin aging and rejuvenation science as well as hair follicle physiology/biology, scalp and skin; and its interaction with energy-based interventions and topicals. In this role, you translate this expertise into meaningful consumer applications, evidence logic, claims and innovation opportunities across devices, energy-based interventions, topicals and combinations thereof. You support breakthrough Front End Innovation explorations across G&B.
The Senior Scientist drives impactful innovations to support Philips growth through research with scientific depth and strong application understanding, working under minimal supervision. The role contributes to meaningful innovations, intellectual property and knowledge transfers with a focus on skin and hair follicle physiology, skin aging, skin/hair rejuvenation, skin/scalp/follicle response to energy and topicals, topical/device response, evidence generation and consumer-relevant product and proposition translation. The role acts as a trusted source of information across skin and hair follicle physiology, influencing multiple G&B roadmaps through consultative input and strategic guidance. The role collaborates with internal scientists, business stakeholders, clinical and external experts to translate emerging technologies, signals and value opportunities into actionable Philips propositions and scientifically credible innovation choices.
Compensation & benefits
Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is Min. € 78,187.00– Max. € 130,312.00 . We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations.
This role is eligible for a 3% incentive with your rewards linked to your KPIs/company results. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week at the office. For this position it's Eindhoven, Netherlands.
