<h1><b><span>Global Process expert - Invoice to pay</span></b></h1><ul><li><i>Location: Barcelona, Spain</i></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Summary:</b> The Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) Expert is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end invoice processing and payment lifecycle. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant invoice handling—while driving automation, reducing exceptions, and enabling a frictionless experience for suppliers and internal stakeholders. The I2P Expert works across procurement, finance, and technology teams to implement best-in-class practices that improve operational efficiency, vendor satisfaction and working capital.</p><p></p><h3><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></h3><ul><li><p>Design and continuously improve I2P processes, including invoice capture, validation, matching, exception handling, and payment execution.</p></li><li><p>Define standard operating procedures and support global standardization of invoice types (PO, non-PO, service entry, recurring).</p></li><li><p>Implement automated workflows for invoice approval and matching (2-way, 3-way).</p></li><li><p>Drive the deployment and optimization of eInvoicing platforms (e.g., SAP, Tungsten, etc).</p></li><li><p>Define business requirements for OCR, AI-driven invoice validation, straight-through processing, and payment automation.</p></li><li><p>Monitor system performance and collaborate with IT and platform teams on continuous enhancements.</p></li><li><p>Analyze root causes for invoice exceptions, rejections, and late payments; implement corrective and preventive measures.</p></li><li><p>Design controls and validations to ensure invoice compliance with tax regulations, payment terms, and contract conditions.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and tax to ensure invoice compliance and risk mitigation.</p></li><li><p>Define and track key I2P KPIs (e.g., first-pass yield, cycle time, on-time payment rate, % touchless invoices).</p></li><li><p>Use data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and lead transformation initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Support cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization through invoice and payment timing strategies.</p></li></ul><p></p><h3><b>About you:</b></h3><p></p><h3><b><u>Qualifications</u></b></h3><h3><b>Required:</b></h3><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Accounting.</li><li>Proven experience in Accounts Payable, ideally within a large, multinational organization.</li><li>Deep understanding of P2P processes and best practices.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.</li><li>Proven influencing skills in driving adherence to core model through collaborative efforts.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective collaborator with strong trust-building and influencing skills.</li><li>Results-oriented with strong analytics skills; ability to drive operational excellence through data-driven insights.</li><li>Ability to lead change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.</li><li>Experience with P2P systems and related technologies.</li><li>Fluent in English (spoken and written).</li></ul><p><b> </b></p><h3><b>Preferred:</b></h3><ul><li>Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.</li><li>Working experience in Accounts Payable / Payments using SAP.</li><li>Knowledge of SOX and fundamental accounting principles.</li><li>Project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.</li><li>Ability to work transversally and within a highly matrixed environment.</li><li>Experience in healthcare and/or life-science industry.</li><li>Experience in establishing and developing shared service capabilities and services.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>#LI-Hybrid #BarcelonaHub #SanofiHubs</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h1>Pursue <i>progress</i>, discover <i>extraordinary</i></h1><p>Better is out there.
