Our client is building a new CDP and customer activation capability on top of an established data ecosystem. The data foundation already exists; the focus is on scoping, designing and building the CDP layer, customer data model, audiences and activation capabilities with a multidisciplinary team. Within this setup, we are looking for a profile focused on customer data configuration and activation, coming from a marketing / personalization background rather than a pure data engineering background — someone who thinks in terms of attributes, traits, audiences and activation logic, and who can translate that language clearly to technical teams. 

The role  

As a Senior Martech and CPD Specialist, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 5 to 8 years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact. 

You will join a project environment where technical data modelling and the data warehouse are handled by the Data Engineering team. Your role will be to translate business and personalization use cases into actionable CDP requirements, configure activation within Hightouch, and act as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation throughout the build of the solution. 

You will naturally act as the key interface between business needs and their technical translation: able to define an audience or activation rule with a marketing stakeholder, then reformulate it clearly for the Data Engineering team. You are comfortable working in a new-build CDP environment on top of an existing data ecosystem, where not all customer data, audience and activation decisions have been made yet, and you know how to move forward in close coordination with the other areas of expertise involved in the project, rather than working in a silo.

Role responsibilities

• Translate business and personalization use cases into actionable attributes, traits, audiences and activation logic
• Contribute to the structuring of the customer data model from a CDP / personalization perspective, in coordination with Data Engineering, which owns the technical modelling and data warehouse
• Configure customer profiles, audiences and activation flows in Hightouch
• Act as the link between business / personalization requirements and the Data Engineering / technical teams involved in the project
• Take part in the scoping and build of the CDP from day one, as part of a multidisciplinary team 

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• Previous hands-on involvement in building or significantly evolving a CDP implementation end to end,  beyond only administering or optimizing an existing setup
• 5 to 8 years of experience in marketing technology, CDP, audience management or personalization
• Practical experience with at least one CDP, audience management, identity or personalization platform, such as Segment, Tealium, Salesforce Data Cloud / Data 360, Adobe Experience Platform / Real-Time CDP, Adobe Target, Optimizely
• Ability to translate business / personalization needs into actionable data logic, including attributes, traits, segments and activation rules
• Comfortable working with Data Engineering and technical teams, without being expected to code data pipelines directly
• Good understanding of identity, consent management and data governance topics, including GDPR 

Nice to have qualifications  

• Direct experience with Hightouch,  a strong plus, but not a blocking requirement if the candidate has solid CDP / MarTech experience
• Comfortable navigating data models and datasets; basic SQL knowledge is useful but not essential
• Professional English proficiency
