Description
As a Firmware Engineer Intern, you will create new embedded systems from scratch while refining existing ones. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing embedded software for robotic surgery applications, streamlining the codebase, rigorous testing and validation of software systems, participating in peer code reviews, writing drivers, and specifying hardware and software choices.
Requirements
Demonstrated success in a science or engineering field. Proven experience in software development, preferably with exposure to embedded systems. Preferred: 2+ years of experience with embedded systems, proficient with communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, etc.), and comfortable with advanced protocols (PCIe, MIPI CSI/DSI, USB, etc.). Proficient in at least one embedded language (C, C++, or Rust). Experience with embedded stacks for ARM cores and embedded Linux platforms.
