We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Financial Assistance Trainee to support our Financial Assistance program. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering a positive customer experience. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop business, healthcare, and financial operations experience while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Review financial assistance applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Evaluate submissions against established program guidelines and eligibility criteria.
Maintain accurate and timely records in designated systems and databases.
Communicate application status, requests for additional information, and eligibility decisions to patients and other stakeholders.
Monitor and manage assigned work queues and shared inboxes to ensure timely processing.
Escalate complex cases or exceptions to appropriate team members for review.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve application, documentation, or system-related issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies, patient privacy requirements, and program procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by demonstrating accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Previous internship, academic project, customer service, or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
Experience working with data, documentation, or customer-facing activities is preferred.
Exposure to process improvement, digital transformation, workflow automation, or technology-driven projects is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and applications.
Interest in automation, digitalization, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Familiarity with tools such as Power Automate, Copilot, Power BI, or other workflow automation technologies is a plus.
