This role supports the end-to-end global P&amp;L for the business, associated FP&amp;A activities, and works closely with business partners to drive growth and profitability. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity for career development while supporting a growing and dynamic business!</p><p></p><p><b><span>Key Responsibilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Act as a trusted business partner to members of the BU leadership team and build an environment to both support and challenge partners with sound financial mentorship and strategic insights</span></li><li><span>Support the Annual Operating Plan process, Quarterly &amp; Monthly Business Reviews and weekly forecasts in collaboration with the leadership team, Site GMs and Finance leads.</span></li><li><span>Partner with colleagues within the BU, Division, and Group to drive both functional and business process improvements and productivity projects.</span></li><li><span>Act as subject matter expert for key Thermo Fisher systems (Hyperion Planning, Workday, Workforce Planning, SAP) to help increase knowledge of team members across organization</span></li><li><span>Prepare and present analysis for significant capital investments on adhoc basis.</span></li><li><span>Develop analytical models and tools to drive growth initiatives and improve business decisions.  </span></li><li><span>Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets</span></li><li>Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Demonstrates strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills</span></li><li><span>Ability to synthesize and produce strategic analysis to bring financial transparency to business leadership and enable data-based decisions</span></li><li><span>Excellent written communication skills, along with clear &amp; concise verbal skills, are essential.  </span></li><li><span>Outstanding prioritization skills (ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time)</span></li><li><span>Ability to identify and champion productivity improvements and create an atmosphere of continuous improvement through PPI (Lean Process Improvement).</span></li><li><span>Possesses initiative, passion, curiosity, a positive demeanor and ability to perform as a standout colleague.</span></li><li><span>The ideal candidate will exhibit initiative and embrace the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Minimum Qualifications:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant analytical background</span></li><li><span>3&#43; years of progressive relevant work experience within a global organization.</span></li><li><span>Candidate will demonstrate experience in the following areas: operations accounting, financial reporting, internal control, financial planning and analysis, financial modeling technical accounting knowledge</span></li><li><span>History of business partnering as well as the ability to develop and implement robust financial processes to drive effective decisions.</span></li><li><span>Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP or equivalent); Reporting tools (CMR, HFM) along with sophisticated Excel skills.</span></li><li><span>Track record of building organizational relationships with peers and operating partners across functions &amp; geographies.</span></li><li>Self-starter - ability to work independently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with high bias for action.</li><li>Experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Compensation and Benefits</b></u></p>The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
