Finance Manager - Thailand

This position is based in our Bangkok office and reports to Controller SEAK &amp; ANZ in Accounting. By partnering with the regional Accounting Shared Service team, this position will handle the full set of accounting operations for our Thailand companies, including but not limited to the traditional accounting activities of both Group Reporting and Local GAAP Reporting, tax compliance and tax planning activities, banking and local treasury support, internal control and business &amp; finance projects.<p>Accounting:</p><ul><li><p>You will collaborate with accounting hub team to ensure Group Accounts are closed timely and accurately.</p></li><li><p>You will ensure financial transactions and activities are compliant with Varian policies and local requirements.</p></li><li><p>You will ensure adequate controls are in place and operational to mitigate risks in the local markets/countries.</p></li><li><p>You will be responsible for local statutory audit, annual filing and other filings.</p></li><li><p>You will be responsible for Account Reconciliations for designated accounts.</p></li><li><p>You will maintain Local Accounts as required by local regulations.</p></li><li><p>You will manage the relationship with external auditors and other service providers and ensure the service quality.</p></li><li><p>You will escalate to management for any accounting issues/business operation problems for improvements.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Tax:</p><ul><li><p>You will be responsible for various weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually and also ad-hoc tax compliance activities (e.g. direct tax, indirect tax, withholding tax &amp; transfer pricing documents) for the assigned markets/countries.</p></li><li><p>You will manage, where applicable, the relationship with external service providers and ensure the service quality.</p></li><li><p>You will support the tax audits and inquiries as needed.</p></li><li><p>You will continuously improve the tax structure where possible.</p></li><li><p>You will perform periodic entity-level outlook for tax forecast and planning purposes.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Others:</p><ul><li><p>You will be responsible for forecasting working capital for the markets/countries and collaborate with Corporate Treasury team to ensure sufficient working capital to meet local markets/countries’ operational need.</p></li><li><p>You will, as the extension of Corporate Treasury team, provide local support to business teams as needed, e.g. Bank Guarantee issuance.</p></li><li><p>You will manage local banking relationship.</p></li><li><p>You will support business and finance projects from a local finance perspective.</p></li><li><p>You will provide collaborative support for the business operations.</p></li><li><p>You will manage various external service providers and their service quality, where applicable.</p></li><li><p>You will continuously look for opportunities for process improvements.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications &amp; Experiences</span></b></p><ul><li><p>You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or ACCA holders are preferred.</p></li><li><p>You have 5&#43; years of finance / accounting and tax experiences, preferably with US/EU MNCs.</p></li><li><p>You have solid knowledge of the local accounting standards &amp; tax requirements; local accounting knowledge of other SEAK countries is a plus.</p></li><li><p>You have demonstrated proficiency in both English and Thai languages, written and spoken.</p></li><li><p>You have working knowledge of the IFRS, US GAAP and SOX/Internal Control.</p></li><li><p>You have working knowledge of SAP, and familiarity with Microsoft Office is a must.</p></li><li><p>Working experiences with remote teams/partners is a plus.</p></li><li><p>You are hands-on, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and capable of meeting tight deadlines.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Who we are</b>: We are a team of more than 72,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
