Don't hesitate, come and join us!</p> <p><strong>👥About This Opportunity – Finance Manager (Spain & Portugal)</strong></p> <p><strong>Missions – Assignments</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Finance Manager Spain & Portugal</strong> is responsible for the overall financial management of the company’s operations in Spain and Portugal, ensuring accuracy, compliance, consistency, and timeliness of all financial activities under scope.</p> <p>The role combines <strong>local financial leadership</strong>, <strong>team management</strong>, and <strong>coordination and supervision of external accounting and tax providers</strong>, operating under different accounting models in each country.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Spain:</strong> hybrid model with part of the accounting managed internally and part outsourced.</li> <li><strong>Portugal:</strong> fully outsourced accounting and tax model, requiring strong internal ownership and supervision<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Management & Reporting (Spain & Portugal)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow for Spain and Portugal.</li> <li>Ensure timely monthly/annual closings (local GAAP) and IFRS reporting to Group.</li> <li>Prepare and validate financial reports; act as key liaison with Corporate Finance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead annual budget and rolling forecasts (Sales, Margin, Opex, Cash, Working Capital).</li> <li>Monitor performance, analyze variances, and propose corrective actions.</li> <li>Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop the local finance team across Spain and Portugal.</li> <li>Set priorities, allocate responsibilities, and ensure policy and deadline compliance.</li> <li>Promote accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>External Accounting & Tax Coordination</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and oversee external accounting and tax providers in Spain (hybrid) and Portugal (outsourced).</li> <li>Review statutory accounts, tax filings, and ensure data accuracy and compliance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and treasury operations.</li> <li>Monitor working capital (AR, AP, inventory) and manage banking relationships.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Inventory & Balance Sheet Control</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure accurate inventory control and balance sheet reconciliations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compliance & Audit</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Maintain internal controls, act as finance compliance lead, and coordinate audits.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>High level of autonomy and rigor</li> <li>Strong organizational and analytical skills</li> <li>Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment</li> <li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li> <li>Team-oriented leadership style</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience & Knowledge:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong background in <strong>finance, accounting, reporting, audit, and taxation</strong>.</li> <li>Proven experience managing <strong>external accounting and tax providers</strong>.</li> <li>Experience in <strong>multinational environments</strong> and Group reporting.</li> <li>Solid understanding of Spanish financial and tax regulations; Portugal experience is a strong plus.</li> <li>Fluency in <strong>English and Spanish</strong>; Portuguese is a plus.<br><br> <p>More information please go to <a href="http://www.baltgroup.com">www.baltgroup.com</a> </p> <p> </p> <p><em>Please be aware of a current job offer scam perpetrated through the use of the internet.
