Finance Director Saudi Arabia

<p style="text-align:left">Job Description</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>The Finance Director for Saudi Arabia (Human Health) will be a strategic business partner and strong finance professional, supporting our business and financial objectives.</p><p></p><p>They will lead and develop a team of Finance professionals and will be a key member of the Saudi Arabia Leadership Team, playing a critical role in providing strategic and operational leadership to the country organization.</p><p></p><p>The primary Responsibilities of the role are as follows:</p><ul><li><p>Ensure the company&#39;s financial matters are managed effectively and efficiently and in compliance with accounting principles and government regulations</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance, strong internal control environment and focus on working capital management</p></li><li><p>Actively partner with business leaders to develop business strategy, identify business opportunities, prioritize investment and resources to deliver profitable growth and continued improvement of business/ financial performance</p></li><li><p>Strategic input in business development deals and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders for existing alliances</p></li><li><p>Partner with cross functional team to support preparations and planning for new products</p></li><li><p>Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive demand planning, order management and supply into the market</p></li><li><p>Drive innovation and productivity mindset in finance team, seeking to leverage digital, data and AI tools to drive insights and create business value</p></li><li><p>Ensure efficient collaboration and process alignment with regional &amp; shared service teams</p></li><li><p>Active member of Saudi Arabia Leadership Team and ensure a strong presence of finance within Saudi Arabia organisation</p></li><li><p>Lead and develop the Saudi Arabia Finance team and be active member of the EEMEA Finance Leadership Team</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Relevant university degree and other financial qualifications</p></li><li><p>Finance professional experience of minimum 10 years</p></li><li><p>Experienced in leading financial teams</p></li><li><p>Fluent English</p></li><li><p>Membership to Saudi Organization for Charted and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) will be required</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Skills/Capabilities</p><ul><li><p>Strong compliance mind-set and experience</p></li><li><p>Business &amp; financial acumen and strategic thinking / enterprise mindset</p></li><li><p>Interpersonal, leadership and communication skills to guide and collaborate with business partners (internally and externally)</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Capability to influence and drive decisions with local, regional &amp; global stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Proactive and self-driven</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Capacity to solve complex situations</p></li><li><p>Talent development capabilities to support growth of finance team</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and/or prior experience of Saudi Arabia market an advantage</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Skills: </b></p>Adaptability, Finance, Financial Acumen, Leadership, Management Process, Planning Budgeting And Forecasting (PBF), Preparation of Financial Reports, Risk Management, Strategic Thinking, Tax Compliance<p></p><p><b>Preferred Skills: </b></p>Business Savviness, Financial Reporting and Analysis<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Current Employees apply <a target="_blank" href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld">HERE</a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Current Contingent Workers apply <a target="_blank" href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld">HERE</a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully </b><br />Merck &amp; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp &amp; Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
