The Position

ASPIRE is one of the most complex and comprehensive programs Roche has ever initiated. The program aims to redesign a large number of business processes and is creating the new digital backbone for Roche to support these newly designed business processes.

In order to strengthen the financial support to the program we are looking for an experienced finance professional to provide additional support for a temporary period.

The Opportunity

As  a  member  of  the  RSS  Performance Management Team, you will support specific functions within the ASPIRE program. You will be part of a finance team supporting the Program and are  driven  by  the  goal  to  provide  outstanding finance services to the partner functions embracing an agile mindset.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Partner with functional program leaders and teams in the ASPIRE program in delivering business results by anticipating strategic and operational needs, understanding the cost base and efficiencies driven by ongoing initiatives

  • Provide financial reporting, analysis & modeling, consultation, transparency and insights to enable sound business decisions as well as forward looking recommendations

  • Ensure financials are on track to achieve targeted business results and metrics or advise deviations and corrective actions

  • Drive planning, financial forecasts, multi-year planning, resource allocation, as well as benefit tracking and business case updates of the assigned area with independent insights and challenge

  • Closely  interact with the Central Program Management Office (cPMO) and various local and global finance organizations to ensure robust implementation of ASPIRE program finance in the affiliates and the “mega sites”

  • Constantly challenge costs booked to the program and interpret existing guidelines in order to ensure financial compliance

Who you are

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in a global finance/controlling/accounting environment along with a strong and proven Business Partner experience

  • BA or BS in Finance or Accounting, CPA or MBA preferred

  • Strong analytical skills, business process knowledge incl. business modeling & scenario analysis

  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, processes and systems

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills and a forward-looking business mindset 

  • Good system skills: SAP, Business Warehouse, Advanced Excel, Advanced gSheet and proficient in other gSuite tools

  • Confident in leading and navigating complex topics

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,  and bring the agile ways of working, empowered decision making and creative mindset to life

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and enterprise thinking
