Description
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our highly skilled team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced life science imaging systems. Working remotely and travelling to client sites across the UK, you will be an essential point of contact for customers, ensuring their systems perform optimally. This role involves installing, calibrating, and maintaining life science imaging systems at client sites, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing technical support and training, liaising with development teams, maintaining accurate service records, and staying updated on life science imaging technologies.
Requirements
A degree in life sciences, engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline (PhD preferred). Strong technical understanding of optical systems, imaging technologies, and electronics. Previous experience in field service engineering, preferably within life sciences or imaging systems. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload effectively. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel globally. Experience with microscopy and/or fluorescence imaging systems. Familiarity with the requirements of laboratory-based research. Experience with micromanager or similar imaging packages.
