This is a post-sales position in which predominant job responsibilities and requirements occur after the sale of the company’s product to the client. This role provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation and maintenance of company products, and may be involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements.  Key purpose of the role is to ensure that client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification and provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

As a member of our Service and Support Community / Field Applications Specialists team, you will be primarily responsible for providing technical support and expertise to existing and potential customers across NSW & ACT, but also occasionally nationally.

In this Sydney based full time permanent position, you will be using your previous experience and training to install, train and provide troubleshooting assistance for Roche instrumentation, software and reagent systems, in hospitals, private pathology and medical research laboratories.

You will ideally possess a relevant degree / diploma in Science / Laboratory Science plus minimum 3 years’ experience within a Clinical Chemistry/ Hematology Laboratory. You will have demonstrable ability to diagnose applications and operational issues on analytical systems and to successfully resolve issues in a timely manner.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to present to groups. Also required is an ability to work independently or as part of a team, and exceptional planning and organizational skills.

Your strong computer literacy with a working knowledge of MS Office, experience in Laboratory workflow assessment / LIS with desirable experience in Digital Imaging and superior customer service skills are pivotal to the success of Roche, therefore we expect our new team member to be customer focused, self motivated and enjoy working in a team environment.

A valid driver’s license is essential.
