<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>THE POSITION</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As a field application scientist at Parse Biosciences, you will act as the scientific liaison between the company and our customers. You will build long lasting relationships with researchers working at the cutting edge of biology in fields including neuroscience, immunology, development, and more. As a solutions provider, we partner with our customers to ensure they’re not only generating high quality data, but also designing their experiments in a way that will answer the questions they are asking and achieve the goals of their studies.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Parse offers the most scalable and flexible single cell sequencing solution on the market. Researchers are looking for guidance on how to best use our kits in order to accelerate their biological discovery. You will be responsible for working with various research groups to make sure they are educated on how our kits work, support them as they conduct the full workflow, and be available for follow up technical questions that may be asked.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In addition to customer facing discussions, you will also be responsible for communicating customer feedback to internal product teams to ensure we continue to build solutions best suited for our customers. You may also contribute to scientific presentations for technical demonstrations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>TERRITORY AND TRAVEL</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">The primary territory for this position includes <strong>Central and Northern Germany, as well as, Benelux</strong>. You can expect to be on site with customers approximately 50% of the time, and on site in our Seattle HQ 1 to 2 times per year. You will work closely with your customers to determine the optimal training format which can be virtual or on site with a duration of 1 to 3 days. Partnering with the Technical Sales Manager for your territory, you will have a great deal of control over your schedule and can organize your travel in a way that best suits you and your customers' goals.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Proactively communicate with customers to understand the goals and needs of their projects</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Provide technical guidance to customers on single cell experimental design</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Train and support new customers to ensure protocols are understood and followed properly</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in pre- and post-sales activities to drive product adoption and revenue, strategically with your regional sales partners.&nbsp; To include, but not limited to, delivering technical seminars/webinars, product workshops, and nurturing key accounts&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Perform troubleshooting and provide assistance on customer experiments</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Work closely with product teams and contribute to customer facing technical documentation</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Collect feedback from current customers and communicate to product teams and management to help guide product development</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Keep up to date on the ever-evolving field of single cell genomics and relay observations of market shifts to management</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Deliver scientific presentations for internal or customer facing events</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Experience in a customer-facing role for genomics products</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Advanced degree in molecular biology, genomics, or a related field or undergraduate degree with relevant experience</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Experience performing next generation sequencing library preparation</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Ability to effectively communicate technical details to a broad scientific audience</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: bold; font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Your residence is currently in Northern or Central Germany, or Benelux</span></strong></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Be willing and able to travel as outlined above under “Territory and Travel”&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Experience performing single-cell RNA-seq assays in a laboratory setting preferred</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with cell culture, tissue dissociation, cell sample preparation preferred</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt;">Experience performing bioinformatic analysis with genomics datasets preferred</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">JOB CONDITIONS</span></strong></p>

<li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Travel requirements: This position includes extensive travel, including customer sites, conferences, and meetings or training at the company headquarters in Seattle. Candidates should have the flexibility to accommodate travel requirements as needed.</span></li>
