To strengthen our Cell Analysis Sales Division (CLSD) team, we are seeking a Field Application Scientist for Life Sciences instruments. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and support customers across academia, research, and industry.
About the Role
As a Field Application Scientist, you will provide technical and application expertise to support our sales team in promoting and selling Agilent’s Cell Analysis instrument portfolio, including:
- Imaging & Microscopy solutions - BioTek
- Real Time Cell analysis solutions - Seahorse XF and xCELLigence RTCA
- Multi-Mode Microplate Readers - BioTek
- Microplate Washers & Dispensers - BioTek
- Automation Solutions – BioTek
Your primary customers will include research laboratories at universities and university hospitals, large research institutions, government agencies, biotech companies, and organizations in the bio/pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product presentations and provide technical guidance during the sales process
- Deliver hands-on product demonstrations and consultative support in customer laboratories
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and foster business growth
- Support the sales team with technical expertise and application insights
- Plan, present, and professionally install products at customer sites
- Conduct product training sessions and workshops to build strong customer relationships
- Provide technical and application support via on-site visits, phone, online sessions and email
- Represent Agilent at customer events and trade shows
- Stay up to date with trends, technologies, and applications in Cell Analysis
- Build a strong internal network with specialists across Agilent’s Cell Analysis divisions
Qualifications
- PhD Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell biology) or equivalent knowledge
- Solid experience in Imaging & Microscopy and common biochemical analysis methods
- Several years of practical laboratory experience; prior experience in a similar role is a plus
- Strong willingness to learn and interest in new technologies
- Ability to present complex, innovative products and applications to customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability when engaging with diverse customer profiles
- Self-motivated, able to work independently while contributing to team success
- Strong communication skills, patience, and active listening abilities
- Confident and professional presence with customers
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken) at a business level
- Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 75%)

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
