If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Summary</h2><p><span>To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a</span> <b><span>Facilities Engineer </span></b><span>located in Austin</span><b><span>, TX.  </span></b></p><p></p><p><span>Reporting to the </span><b>Facilities Manager </b>the Facilities<b><span> Engineer </span></b><span>role applies engineering values to design, modify or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.</span></p><p></p><p><b>6pm - 6am <span>Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue &#43; Alternating Wed</span> </b></p><p></p><p><b><span>What a typical day looks like:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.</span></li><li><span>Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.</span></li><li><span>Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.</span></li><li><span>Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.</span></li><li><span>Compiles and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.</span></li><li><span>Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.</span></li><li><span>Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.</span></li><li><span>Guides projects and project teams.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, related degree or equivalent experience and training. </span></li><li><span>Requires a minimum of 6&#43; years of related experience.</span></li><li><span>Prefer some knowledge of manufacturing operations.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. </span></li><li><span>Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough comprehension of Flex’s and related business. </span></li><li><span>Creates functional processes or technologies.
