We are searching for the best talent for External Affairs Manager & Patients Advocacy Groups to be in Chile.
Reporting to the External Affairs Director for J&J Latin America South, the External Affairs & Patient Advocacy Groups Manager J&J Chile will be responsible for designing, coordinating and executing the External Affairs and Patient Advocacy strategy for Chile, helping to anticipate, interpret and influence the public policy, regulatory, institutional and innovation access environment in healthcare.
The role will strengthen J&J’s corporate reputation, build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem and promote initiatives that ethically, transparently and non-promotionally integrate the patient voice into relevant discussions for the Chilean healthcare system.
The candidate should combine strategic vision, influencing skills, knowledge of the Chilean political and healthcare environment, stakeholder management experience and a solid understanding of the compliance frameworks applicable to interactions with government officials, patient associations, industry chambers, scientific societies, civil society organizations and other external stakeholders.
All activities must be conducted in compliance with local legislation, industry standards, J&J internal policies, the principles of Our Credo and applicable standards of integrity, transparency and independence.
Purpose:
The role aims to position J&J as a trusted and constructive partner in the Chilean healthcare ecosystem, supporting public policy priorities, sustainable access to innovation, institutional strengthening and responsible collaboration with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs).
The role will also consolidate an institutional PAGs strategy that can also integrates the priorities defined by the MAF related to specific therapeutic areas, promoting educational, scientific, awareness, prevention, early detection, health literacy, system navigation and capacity-building initiatives, while always preserving the autonomy and editorial, institutional and financial independence of patient organizations.
· Develop and execute integrated External Affairs plans for Chile that anticipate regulatory, legislative, policy and access trends, aligned with J&J Innovative Medicine priorities and in coordination with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Communications, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Healthcare Compliance, Commercial and regional teams.
