English fluency is a requirement for the position.**</b></p><p></p><p><span>The EMEALA Array Sales Specialist – Genotyping is responsible for protecting, expanding and creating new array business in identified growth areas in collaboration with local account managers, sales specialists, global product management and additional support functions (i.e. marketing, medical &amp; government affairs, market access) to achieve long term revenue growth and profitable margins for Illumina. This person will be the commercial subject matter expert for all Illumina Infinium arrays, workflows and software solutions (on market and NPIs). </span></p><p></p><p><span>The array sales specialist is also responsible for supporting large accounts and strategic deals in the subregion, as well as developing and sustaining strong relationships with key customers and thought leaders and maintaining regular interactions between the customers and the Illumina management team. Other responsibilities include planning and facilitating regular sales training for subregional commercial teams in collaboration with array management and global product management; enabling local account managers to handle basic customer inquiries &amp; opportunity identification and qualification; and supporting marketing with sales collaterals, competitive positioning, and sales initiatives (events, regional pricing, promos, bundles, etc.). Close interaction with subregional commercial teams and array management will help to deploy customer-centric plans for growing volume and profit. Market observations will be communicated back to the product marketing and array management. The role is responsible for understanding relevant customer requirements, priorities, needs, and strategies to accelerate the sales cycle.</span></p><p></p><p><span>The Illumina Infinium array products are broadly defined as all human (genotyping, cytogenetics and methylation), non-human and custom array products. A good understanding of the Illumina DNA sequencing business including 5-Base will be required to guide the customers to the best solution. </span></p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary: </b></p><p></p><p>Responsible for selling complex technical products and/or services. This would typically be only a single product or product line or a very limited number of the organization’s products, typically a technology or those that are strategic in nature. Generally not account-assigned; called into accounts as opportunities are identified and may work with account-assigned sales account managers to close sale. Carries an overlay quota. May manage and coordinate the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the organization’s products. May also be called on as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales.</p><p></p><p>Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned.</p><p></p><p><b>Scope of Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Applies advanced wide-ranging experience and professional knowledge to provide solutions in creative and effective ways.</p></li><li><p>Directs the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas.
