Position Summary

Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) seeks an innovative, results-oriented leader to serve as the Iza-Bren Medical Product Lead, Global Medical Oncology. This critical role leads the Global Medical team for Izabren (BMS-986507), a first-in-class EGFRxHER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) co-developed with SystImmune, with a broad multi-tumor development program spanning breast, lung, gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers. The MPL will lead a mission-focused team designed to accelerate clinical evidence generation, recruitment, education, and external advocacy across international markets in the rapidly evolving ADC landscape. The MPL will drive a unified strategy, high-velocity execution, and end-to-end ownership across Global Oncology, ensuring best-in-class medical engagement for Izabren as the program advances toward registration and launch. The role will report to the VP, Worldwide Medical Affairs Disease Area Head, Thoracic & H&N Cancers.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Direction

In close collaboration with our alliance partner, SystImmune, this role is accountable for:

• Develop and execute a unified global medical strategy for Izabren across tumor types and lines of therapy, ensuring speed, clarity, and relentless focus on program goals – in full alignment with the global & US strategy

• Lead and manage the dedicated medical Izabren teams at Global and US level, eliminating fragmentation and aligning messaging, evidence, and education across the enterprise.

• Drive rapid decision-making and execution, removing delays inherent in traditional matrix models.

Operational Leadership & Accountability

• Ensure direct accountability at international, regional, and field levels, enabling real-time progress tracking and immediate intervention.

• Optimize trial execution and site engagement across diverse markets for the global Izabren program (including Phase 2/3 and Phase 3 studies in breast cancer, lung cancer and urothelial cancer), in close collaboration with RCO & International Izabren Lead.

• Monitor the competitive landscape (including other EGFR-, HER3- and TROP2-directed ADCs, bispecifics and standard-of-care chemotherapy) and proactively adapt strategies to maintain leadership.

• Oversee resource allocation, budget management, and strategic prioritization to maximize efficiency and impact.

• Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools for continuous improvement.

• Partner with Clinical Development, Safety, Translational/Biomarker and Regulatory teams to ensure medical insights and real-world evidence needs inform the Izabren development plan and future label.

• Collaborate with the Alliance Lead and SystImmune counterparts to ensure joint medical and scientific alignment across territories.

 

Scientific Advocacy & External Impact

• Support building and empower a high-performing, dedicated team of regional Izabren leads and dedicated MSLs, fostering deep scientific advocacy and accelerating site activation, recruitment, and medical education, including ADC-specific topics such as toxicity management, dose optimization and biomarker strategy.

• Shape external perception and scientific leadership, leveraging early signal detection and rapid course correction; engage key opinion leaders, investigators and professional societies, and plan data dissemination at key congresses.

Cross-functional collaboration

• Partner with the Global Medical, Development, Commercial, Market Access, and Patient Advocacy teams to ensure pre-launch excellence and maximize portfolio value.

• Represent Izabren in key stakeholder & partnership meetings, including joint governance with SystImmune, driving cross-functional alignment and enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree in medicine, science, or related field (MD, PhD, PharmD; MD preferred).

• 15+ years of medical affairs, development, or commercial experience, with a strong track record in international markets.

• Pharmaceutical experience in solid tumors is a must have (breast, thoracic, GI and GU cancers); experience with ADCs, bispecific antibodies and/or Phase 3 oncology development is strongly preferred.

• Proven expertise in leading large, geographically distributed teams and driving high performance in competitive environments.

• Deep understanding of regulatory, healthcare, and cultural diversity across international markets.

• Demonstrated ability to execute strategies that deliver measurable business and patient outcomes.

• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to successfully and effectively collaborate and work across boundaries (e.g. R&D, disease mgt., marketing, external development) and building strong external relationships.

• Outstanding project management capabilities and experience in change management, leading teams through market or organizational transformation

• Ability to provide a strong voice to the global team and success in effectively communicating and influencing decisions with senior leadership and matrix team.

$254,530 - $308,434

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.

Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs. Eligible employees also enjoy an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
