Environment Engineer

Environment management. (facilities, legal actions, correspond for internal/external requirement)

The Environmental Professional will be responsible for the implementation of all kinds of environmental regulations and legislation (law, ISO 14000 etc.). The goal is to have all necessary policies in place and keep a high standard in all fields of environmental protection

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Develop and implement policies and practices to identify / mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments
• Contribute to the development of the overall company environment strategy
• Investigate accidents, environmental incidents and sources of risk for environmental problems and liaise with engineers, management, and environmental regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents / risks and prevent their recurrence
• Provide advice and training on EHS protocols and environmental protection and conduct audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental
• Implement policies and practices to identify / mitigate hazardous conditions with negative impact on the environment
• Organize activities and programs in connection with the company EHS program
• Keep close relationships with all internal stakeholders involved in environmental performance and engage with external stakeholders
• Control and track success of environmental engagement

Qualification & Skills:

• Academic Degree in Environmental Management or Economics
• Minimum 3 years of work experience
• Deep understanding and know how on legal framework regarding environmental protection
• Ability to work independently with general supervision
• Very analytical approach as well as project management skills
• Ability to influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
• Fluent in English
