Learn more about us: Annual Report | Product Pipeline</span></p><h2><br /> </h2><h2><span class="emphasis">Introduction to the Role</span></h2><p></p><p>As Department Head Engineering, you will lead the Engineering function at our Marburg site, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with pharmaceutical-technical requirements (cGMP, Health, Safety, Environmental &amp; Sustainability). You’ll be a key member of the Site Leadership Team, shaping strategy and driving continuous improvement across Sustainability, Facilities/Utilities, Capital Projects, Engineering Compliance, Automation, and Production Engineering.</p><h2><br /> </h2><h2><span class="emphasis">Key Responsibilities</span></h2><ul><li><p>Lead and develop an efficient Engineering organization aligned with GSK’s objectives</p></li><li><p>Drive optimization of business processes within Engineering and cross-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Oversee technical outsourcing, service agreements, and resource allocation</p></li><li><p>Manage CAPEX and OPEX planning, ensuring project delivery meets timelines and budget</p></li><li><p>Review and assess technical projects, contributing to approval processes</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with internal, legal, and regulatory standards (cGMP, EHSS)</p></li><li><p>Implement harmonized engineering processes, documents, and tools</p></li><li><p>Support global engineering initiatives and foster best practice sharing</p></li><li><p>Fulfill delegated responsibilities under German law and Marburg DH matrix</p></li><li><p>Champion site risk management and continuous improvement</p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis"><b>Why you? </b></span></h2><h2><br /><span class="emphasis"><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></span></h2><ul><li><p>Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree in a relevant field</p></li><li><p>Extensive experience at a similar level in the pharmaceutical or related manufacturing &amp; engineering industry.</p></li><li><p>Leadership expertise in a multinational environment or matrix organization.</p></li><li><p>Fluency in English is a must</p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><br /><span class="emphasis"><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></span></h2><ul><li><p>Relevant knowledge of EHS as well as cGMP rules, standards and guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Excellent knowledge of the legal framework including standards, regulations, etc.</p></li><li><p>Leadership expertise.</p></li><li><p>Internal and external customer orientation including negotiation skills and techniques in a multi-national environment.</p></li><li><p>The ability to identify, avoid and eliminate business risks.</p></li><li><p>Confident, determined and courteous appearance towards all business partners internal and external.</p></li><li><p>Fluency is German is preferred but not mandatory.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>We create a place where people can grow, be their best, be safe, and feel welcome, valued and included.
