If you are excited about a role but don&#39;t meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2>Job Summary</h2><p>To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an <b><span>Engineer - Quality  in Chennai</span></b><span>.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>What a typical day looks like:</span></b></p><ul><li>Work with Design and Manufacturing Engineers team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.</li><li>Support in supplier approval process by assessing <span>manufacturing/technology</span> capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks.</li><li>Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards.</li><li>Follow up with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues.</li><li>Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.</li><li>Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)</li><li>Provide concise, complete, and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to area of responsibility.</li><li>Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers.</li><li>Support the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance.</li><li>Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.</li><li>Preparation &amp; Validation of First Article Inspection</li><li>Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.</li><li>Manage and coordinate supplier Material / Non-Material cost recovery for Supplier Quality issues.</li><li>Support in Internal /External Audit readiness</li><li>Undertake special projects as required.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement activities.</li><li>Quality control of work by appropriate reviews</li><li><span>Testing oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer.  </span></li><li><span>Inspection on bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools.  </span></li><li><span>Mechanical &amp; Electrical Tools, taps and dies, alignment tools, measuring tools. </span></li><li>Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients.</li><li>Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends.</li><li>Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact.</li><li>Building big data collection and analytics capabilities to uncover customer, product, and operational insights.</li><li>Analyzing data sources and proposing solutions to strategic planning problems on a one-time or periodic basis</li><li>Providing data-driven decision support</li><li>Leverages data analytics and statistical methods to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.</li><li>Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in EEE / ECE / Mech / E&amp;TC</span></li><li>Minimum 3-7 experience in Automotive Industry /EMS / Electronics Products Manufacturing Industry.</li><li><span>2-5 years of knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics.  </span></li><li><span>Knowledge in various PCB operations, Lean manufacturing, and ISO standards</span></li><li><span>Handled computerized electronic test equipment and programming. </span></li><li>Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)</li><li>Knowledge of measurement techniques</li><li>Experienced in understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.</li><li>Understanding manufacturing processes</li><li>Planning and prioritizing activities</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:</span></b></p><ul><li>Health Insurance</li><li>PTO</li></ul><p></p><p><b>PM15</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>Quality<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Required Skills:</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Optional Skills:</p>Flex pays for all costs associated with the application, interview or offer process, a candidate will not be asked for any payment related to these costs.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
