Your work will have real-world impact, and you’ll be supported in achieving your career goals.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Title:</b> Engineer II, Manufacturing</p><p><b>Reports to:</b> Engineering Manager</p><p><b>Group / Division:</b> LSG / GSD</p><p><b>Career Band:</b> 5</p><p><b>Job Family: </b>Engineering, Manufacturing</p><p><b>Position Location: </b>Warrington, UK</p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary: </b></p><p></p><ul><li>Working in ISO 5 &amp; ISO 7 clean rooms, wearing personal respirator hood PPE to carry out daily tasks</li><li>Responsible for PMs, calibrations, and servicing on key equipment</li><li>Supervision of contractors, FSE and service providers</li><li>Planning of personal work requirements</li><li>• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies</li><li>Adopting a ‘minimise downtime, increase availability’ attitude in relation to automation breakdowns</li><li>Understanding and safe use in workshop tools (hand tools / automatic tools)</li><li> Ability, enthusiasm, and drive to become learner to user: Life Science instruments covering Genetic analysers, qPCR, PCR, RNA/DNA extractors, DNA synthesis</li><li>Understanding and use of CMMS (computerised maintenance management system)</li><li>Routine maintenance of associated laboratory, manufacturing, and workshop equipment. Including Production automation such as liquid filling machines, cartoners, shrink wrappers, conveying systems, sealers and robots</li><li>Completes documentation to GDP standards.</li><li>Maintenance activities within the clean room environment, including clean transfer of tools and any other work associated materials into the clean-room area</li><li>Responsible for supporting and complying with the Company&#39;s safety and hazardous waste management program, including safe hazardous waste handling and good housekeeping.</li><li>Assisting with PRs (Problem Reports) and investigations when problems arise.</li><li>Continuous improvement in understanding of quality and productivity concepts as they apply to all work performed, services offered, communications and products.</li><li>Understanding, creating, and following risk assessment</li><li>Understanding, supporting, and filling out of Permits to work</li><li>Supporting changeovers on equipment in ultra clean area wearing required safety PPE / Respirator</li><li>Leading PPI methodology at individual and team level</li><li>Practicing operational discipline individually and as a team</li><li>Demonstrating agile leadership individually and as a team</li><li>Supports and participates in site projects using engineering bias to FIND A BETTER WAY</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Able to manage workload independently within scope of activities agreed with Supervisor</li><li>Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn.</li><li>Ability to work well alone and as a team.</li><li>Ability to adopt SCRUM methodology and utilise as a planning/scheduling tool</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and to work under pressure with strict attention to deadlines and details. </li><li>Excellent time management &amp; organizational skills</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to manage and contribute to CI based projects</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Frequent Contacts:</b></p><p></p><p>Internal</p><ul><li>Daily communication with manufacturing, engineering peers, production planning and value stream personnel, site leadership team utilizing Daily tiered management (DTM)</li></ul><p></p><p>External</p><ul><li>Contractors, FSE, suppliers, manufacturers, Other TF sites (Globally)</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: </b></p><p></p><ul><li>Engineering modern apprenticeship / time served (i.e.City &amp; Guilds / BTEC / NVQ Level 3).</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum HNC qualification in engineering</li><li>5 years relevant experience post HNC</li><li>Multi skilled (Elec/Mech)</li><li>Engineering career goal</li><li>Experience of implementing change, process improvement and reducing costs.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other Job Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Adhere to EHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment</li><li>Experience of working in an ISO13485 certified environment is required</li><li>PLC troubleshooting experience preferred</li><li>Robotics and automation experience</li></ul><p>Pneumatic knowledge and experience</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
