Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.</p><p>Whether our customers are advancing life sciences research, solving complex analytical challenges, improving laboratory efficiency, enhancing patient health through diagnostics, or developing and manufacturing life-changing therapies, we are committed to supporting them.</p><p>Our global team delivers an exceptional combination of innovative technologies, purchasing convenience, and pharmaceutical services through industry-leading brands such as Thermo Scientific, Applied Biosystems, Invitrogen, Fisher Scientific, Unity Lab Services, Patheon, and PPD.</p><div></div><h1><b>Role & Responsibilities</b></h1><p>As a member of the cost optimization (VAVE) team, you will support the identification and execution of cost reduction opportunities, contribute to design concept development, and assist in building standardized engineering practices.</p><ul><li>Review and interpret technical specifications and requirements; seek clarification when needed</li><li>Identify potential cost reduction opportunities in assigned products with guidance from senior team members</li><li>Develop an understanding of component functionality through self-learning and hands-on exposure</li><li>Support the development of design concepts and perform basic engineering calculations and trade-off analyses under guidance</li><li>Assist in component selection to meet technical and performance requirements</li><li>Prepare design documentation based on reviews, inputs, and established engineering processes</li><li>Develop a working understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances</li><li>Conduct alternative component searches and perform basic design evaluations independently</li><li>Gain exposure to design and simulation tools and progressively build hands-on proficiency</li><li>Support preparation of design artifacts and documentation in line with defined processes</li><li>Demonstrate a proactive learning mindset and willingness to take on new challenges</li></ul><h1></h1><h1><b>Skills & Proficiencies</b></h1><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0–2 years of experience</li><li>Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering fundamentals (e.g., strength of materials, theory of machines, heat transfer)</li><li>Basic knowledge of design principles, engineering drawings, and tolerancing</li><li>Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills</li><li>Attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks</li><li>Strong learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to develop new skills</li><li>Effective communication and collaboration abilities</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
