Description
Responsible and accountable for clinical research and development activities related to incisionless surgery technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform research and development activities related to incisionless surgery technologies.
- Characterize and verify functional performance of hardware and software systems.
- Document functional performance of hardware and software systems by writing reports that will form the foundation of a medical device development program.
- Develop competency in the area of tissue effects analysis by combining fundamental knowledge of anatomy, biology, physics and clinical engineering.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline.
- Prior experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Proficiency in documentation and data analytics tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering
- At least 2 years of relevant product development experience in medical devices.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with safety critical considerations.
- Experience working with in vivo and ex vivo tissue environments.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously within an environment rich with unsolved science and technology challenges, hazy requirements, and a dynamic team committed to changing the fundamentals of surgery.
