This role will create robust and manufacturable designs, support product development activities, and work cross-functionally to ensure all electrical solutions meet functional, quality, and customer requirements.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>What a typical day looks like:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Review customer specifications to create drawings and bill of materials for assigned projects within budget, including the selection of parts</p></li><li><p>Design single line diagrams, schematic and wiring diagrams for power distribution, including network diagrams for communication and automation.</p></li><li><p>Generate detailed substation control house wiring drawings based on customer-supplied guidance schematic.</p></li><li><p>Design and perform load calculations for power distribution systems.</p></li><li><p>Work with Purchasing and Vendors to receive quotes and lead times to complete design.</p></li><li><p>Work with the mechanical engineering department to secure an integrated product design.</p></li><li><p>Provide engineering support to production departments during all stages of manufacturing.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with customers regarding specification/design questions and clarifications.</p></li><li><p>Provide suggestions on areas of improvement to standardize and increase the efficiency surrounding production.</p></li><li><p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.</p></li><li><p>At least 5 years of related work experience preferably in electrical power systems.</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures, NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI Codes.</p></li><li><p>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or related software.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>What you'll receive for the great work you provide:</b></p><ul><li>Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Short-term and Long-term Disability</li><li>Matching 401(k) Contributions</li><li>Vacation and Paid Sick Time</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Pay Range (Applicable to California)<h3></h3><h3></h3>$90,300.00 USD - $124,100.00 USD Annual<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>Design, Process & Technology Engineering<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Is Sponsorship Available?</p>No<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>Crown is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
