Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
1. Maintain compliance of national and local environmental, health and safety regulation.
2. Implement and validate GEHC EHS frameworks.
3. Drive continuous improvement in organizational EHS culture, awareness, and accountability.
4. Manage EHS aspects at site as assigned, including but not limited to technical, regulatory/third party interface, reporting, permitting, compliance, administrative, etc. of GEHC site projects and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and policies. Ensure appropriate management of consultants and legal counsel on all projects and coordinate efforts of other EHS team members on various projects as required.
5. Establish and enhance EHS programs site wide that support GEHC business goals and initiatives.
6. Continuously evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and lead development of corrective action plans.
7. Provide EHS coaching and compliance support to site team to ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements. Plan and participate in EHS compliance and site program audits, coordinate employee EHS training, and maintain site EHS records.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree in Safety, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline
2. 3 to 5 years’ experience on managing EHS compliance, daily operations, and/or programs in multinational companies
3. Proven leadership, program and interpersonal skills
4. Proven project and program management skills
5. Self-driven, unafraid to experiment, and challenge status quo.
