E-Commerce Account Executive – UK&I

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Commercial Operations & E-Commerce – UK&I
Location: Portugal, Lisbon
Business Area: Prevention & Recovery (P&R)

Role Purpose

The E-Commerce Account Executive will support the growth and commercial performance of UK&I e-commerce and marketplace channels across the Prevention & Recovery business.

The role will focus on developing existing online accounts and identifying new opportunities across marketplaces, online retailers, online pharmacy and other relevant B2C and B2B2C platforms.

Working closely with Commercial Operations, Marketing & Growth Enablement, the International Consumer team and other cross-functional colleagues, the role will help increase revenue, traffic, conversion and portfolio penetration across priority e-commerce channels.

The role requires a proactive commercial mindset, practical e-commerce experience and strong analytical capability, with the opportunity to develop increasing responsibility as the UK&I e-commerce business grows.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Account Development

• Support delivery of the UK&I e-commerce revenue and growth plan.
• Develop existing e-commerce and marketplace accounts to increase revenue and portfolio penetration.
• Identify and prospect potential new online retailers, marketplaces, pharmacy partners and other digital customers.
• Support the onboarding and launch of new e-commerce customers and platforms.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and ranges into existing online accounts.
• Maintain a pipeline of new e-commerce customers, opportunities and account-development activity.
• Work with internal teams to progress opportunities from identification through to launch.
• Build effective commercial relationships with priority e-commerce and marketplace customers. 

Digital Trading & Commercial Performance

• Monitor revenue, traffic, conversion, average order value and promotional performance across priority channels.
• Support assortment, pricing, promotional and merchandising activity.
• Work with Marketing & Growth Enablement to improve product visibility, search performance, content and customer acquisition.
• Use customer, competitor and channel data to identify and implement growth opportunities.
• Monitor marketplace performance and highlight opportunities or issues requiring action.
• Support regular e-commerce forecasting and performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate account, opportunity and pipeline information within relevant systems.

Customer Acquisition & Growth

• Support activity designed to increase qualified traffic and customer acquisition across e-commerce channels.
• Work with Marketing on campaigns, promotions and digital activation.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion, repeat purchase and customer retention.
• Support testing of new commercial approaches, promotions and channel initiatives.
• Track results and use performance data to recommend improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Inside Sales & Customer Development colleagues to identify and convert relevant customer opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing & Growth Enablement on customer acquisition and activation.
• Work with Finance to understand pricing, margin and commercial performance.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Service to support effective customer onboarding and fulfilment.
• Work with the International Consumer team and shared-service colleagues to leverage available platforms, expertise and best practice.
• Share e-commerce insight and learning across the wider UK&I commercial team.

Experience & Capabilities

Essential

• Experience of Amazon and/or other major marketplace platforms.
• Demonstrable experience within e-commerce, marketplaces, online retail or digital trading, with a good understanding of how online channels are developed and grown.
• Practical experience using e-commerce performance data to identify opportunities to improve traffic, conversion, assortment and revenue.
• Commercially minded with an interest in sales, customer development and e-commerce growth.
• Confident communicating with customers and developing commercial relationships.
• Comfortable using data to understand performance and identify opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities.
• Proactive, curious and comfortable identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional working skills.
• Comfortable working with e-commerce, CRM, reporting or other commercial systems.

Preferred

• Experience within healthcare, consumer health, medical devices, pharmacy, FMCG or another relevant consumer sector.
• Exposure to prospecting, lead generation or new-account development.
• Experience working with online retailers, online pharmacies or other digital commercial partners.
• Understanding of digital trading metrics including traffic, conversion, average order value and repeat purchase.
• Experience working within a cross-functional commercial environment.
