This role is responsible for checking in donor tissue and inspecting shipments for package integrity, labeling accuracy, temperature compliance, and correct item counts. The position also involves physical activity, including moving donor tissue and assisting with placement into appropriate storage locations as needed. Participation in the on- call donor receiving schedule is required as part of this role.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Essential Functions:</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>Maintain and manage the flow of incoming donor tissue and specimens</span></p></li><li><p><span>Create, maintain, and file donor records</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure all aspects of donor records are entered into the database concurrently and verified for accuracy and completeness</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform a quality review of the donor record to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established BBA procedures, AATB standards, and FDA regulatory requirements, and forward the record to the Medical Director for final determination of eligibility and disposition status</span></p></li><li><p><span>Move donor tissue to designated processing areas or appropriate storage locations, ensuring proper handling, coordination, and placement within freezers to maintain tissue integrity and compliance with storage requirements</span></p></li><li><p><span>Communicate with Recovery Agencies for chart information to complete file</span></p></li><li><p><span>Actively monitor temporary storage bins and add ice as needed to maintain required temperature conditions</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain the Donor Receiving Log, Culture/Serology sample records, Freezer Storage Log, and Discard Log, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and up to date</span></p></li><li><p><span>Maintain current knowledge of AATB Standards and applicable FDA regulations governing human tissue, including 21 CFR Parts 1270 and 1271, to ensure departmental Standard Operating Procedures and associated documents remain current, accurate, and compliant</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in the required on-call donor receiving schedule, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support the Donor Services Supervisor in day-to-day operations, and provide coverage during the Supervisor’s absence as directed</span></p></li><li><p><span>Complete all other duties as assigned</span></p></li><li><p><span>Adhere to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role</span></p></li><li><p><span>Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><i><span>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.</span></i></p><p></p><p><b><u>Qualifications:</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>High school diploma or equivalent required</span></p></li><li><p><span>Associate’s degree in a medical discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and at least two years of experience in the medical field or a related area</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of medical terminology, medical record documentation, and applicable guidelines and regulations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Basic computer proficiency required, including experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Access</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a challenging, fast-paced environment.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Must maintain access to a working cell phone for on-call purposes</span></p></li></ul><p><br /><b><u>Physical Demands:</u></b></p><p></p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
