The Principal Domain Architect designs business-driven, future-ready solutions for our International Pharma Commercial Marketing & Customer Engagement portfolio. In this strategic role, you will define the architectural vision for how we engage with patients and HCPs across international markets. You will align technology deployments with commercial priorities, ensuring our "Global-to-Local" scaling strategy is seamless, compliant, and data-driven
Description of the area
Job Responsibilities
Scope / (Content Leadership): Designs solutions that meet product requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards within a Multiple Solution, Platform, or Product Line Context. Manages Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) and fitness functions. Documents and evolves the architecture throughout the product life cycle and strictly aligns with the architecture community for governance.
Accountability/Problem Solving: Guides others in resolving highly complex issues and problems with implications on cross-functional organizational processes and outcomes. Defines and manages architecture, governance, and technology aligned with stakeholder needs. Maintains the vision, roadmap, and current landscape for a complete platform or product line. Creates Conceptual & Logical Data Models, Taxonomies, Ontologies, and Integration pathways. Defines and drives reference architectures, patterns, NFRs, and fitness functions, ensuring Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) are systematically recorded and published across the platform. Drives external technology trends and assesses feasibility, including comprehensive vendor assessments.
Stakeholder Management: Communicates complex ideas and influences senior-level stakeholders to adopt new approaches. Deeply connects with and understands the business needs, closely partnering with Commercial Excellence, Medical Affairs and Marketing stakeholders. Drives seamless information sharing across the complete customer engagement products .
Impact: Provides high-level technical oversight, guidance, and consultation on specific technologies for product teams. Improves existing solutions, manages technical debt, and researches, evaluates, pilots, and drives the adoption of new technologies. Identifies strategic opportunities to enhance value and business processes within a Platform or Product.
Domain Strategy: Maintain the technology roadmap for the International Commercial landscape, focusing on CRM, Omnichannel Marketing, and other capabilities
Business / Technical ability: Applies in-depth and expert-level knowledge across multiple technology areas. Serves as a recognized leader in Architecture Practices development and mentoring.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
5+ years of experience in designing and architecting business-driven, standards-based, future-ready solutions within a multiple solution, platform, or product line context.
Experience resolving highly complex issues with implications on cross-functional organizational processes and outcomes.
Proven track record acting as a recognized leader in architecture practices, including significant experience mentoring and developing architectural talent.
Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated healthcare technology industry
Technical Skills
Demonstrates deep technical authority across diverse technology stacks to solve complex, enterprise-scale challenges.
Expert at designing Conceptual and Logical Data Models, Taxonomies, and Ontologies that ensure seamless integration across global product lines.
Proven lead in establishing reference architectures, design patterns, and fitness functions to enforce Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and long-term system health.
Proactively tracks emerging tech trends to conduct rigorous feasibility studies and high-stakes vendor evaluations.
Deep hands-on experience architecting solutions within Veeva/Salesforce CRM, Omnichannel solutions among others.
Expert at navigating the intersection of innovation and compliance, specifically within GxP and international healthcare regulatory frameworks.
Additional Qualifications
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and influence senior-level stakeholders to adopt new approaches.
Proactive and strategic mindset to deeply connect with business needs, identify opportunities to enhance value, and drive the evaluation and adoption of new technologies across product lines.
