We have started to launch our Endocrinology Rare Disease portfolio globally, in the US, Germany & Austria, with plans for rapid expansion.</p><p><strong>As Director of Pricing & Contracting Analytics</strong>, you will play a critical role in shaping and assessing the impact of external reimbursement dynamics and policy changes on pricing strategy across Ascendis’ product portfolio. You will lead the planning and execution of standard and ad hoc analytics to identify and quantify payer opportunities and risks, translating insights into clear recommendations for market access strategies and tactics. In this role, you will build and advance a robust analytics capability in support of the US Pricing & Contracting team.</p><p>You will report directly to the Sr. Director, Pricing & Contracting Strategy and be based in Princeton, NJ. This opportunity is based upon a hybrid model with an expectation of three days each week in-office for coordination and collaborative purposes.</p><p><strong>This role will have three main areas of focus:</strong></p><p>1. Develop and design data-driven pricing dashboards and analytical models that address the evolving U.S. healthcare reimbursement environment, enabling executive-level insights and informed decision-making across in-line and pipeline assets.</p><p>2. Evaluate and translate coverage, reimbursement, and broader policy dynamics into actionable pricing and contracting insights for the Ascendis portfolio in the U.S. market.</p><p>3. Benchmark and develop pricing analogs across therapeutic areas, while tracking payer and PBM behavior, formulary decisions, and contract performance to inform pricing and contracting tactics.</p><p><strong>You will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li>Overseeing the development and application of advanced analytics models to assess price elasticity, conduct scenario modeling, and support value-based pricing strategies.</li><li>Leveraging claims data and forecasting tools to inform pricing decisions and reimbursement strategies.</li><li>Monitoring and assessing proposed pricing policy changes and market dynamics (e.g., CMS reforms, IRA provisions, international reference pricing) and their implications for pricing and access strategies.</li><li>Leading the refinement of pharmaceutical pricing policies in alignment with commercial, legal, and market access objectives.</li><li>Benchmarking pricing strategies across therapeutic areas and geographies to inform strategic decision-making.</li><li>Building and maintaining executive-level dashboards to track pricing and contracting KPIs, including net price trends, utilization, formulary outcomes, and contract performance.</li><li>Partnering cross-functionally with Strategic Pricing, Contract Operations, Market Access, Finance, Forecasting, and Commercial Operations to support GTN assumptions, variance analyses, and revenue-forecasting scenarios informed by payer and contracting dynamics.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Your Profile:</strong></p><p>You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related field – and possess 8-12 years of experience within pharmaceutical pricing and contracting, pricing policy, advanced analytics or market access, either at a biotech/pharmaceutical company specializing in brand or specialty products.</p><p><strong>Furthermore,</strong> <strong>you have</strong>:</p><ul><li>Deep understanding of U.S. and global pharmaceutical pricing frameworks, reimbursement environments, and health policy trends.</li><li>Proven experience managing large datasets, pricing models, and policy impact analyses.</li><li>Experience building dashboards and performance measurement frameworks (e.g. contract KPI tracking, ROI assessment, payer event monitoring).</li><li>Exposure to GTN and revenue forecasting workflows</li><li>Experience with value-based contracting and innovative pricing models.</li><li>Familiarity with pharmaceutical policy impacts from IRA, Medicaid/Medicare rules, and global price referencing.</li><li>Proficiency with tools such as SAS, R, Python, or Tableau for advanced data analysis.</li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.</li></ul><p><br> <strong>Key competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>You are a strong team player with analytical thinking and a proactive, can-do attitude.</li><li>You possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in an open, innovative and evolving environment.</li><li>To succeed in this role, we also expect you to possess the ability to execute across multiple work streams simultaneously and at the same time pay a high level of attention to detail and organization.</li></ul><p><strong>Travel</strong>: Approximately 10%</p><p><strong>Place of work:</strong> Princeton, NJ. Hybrid model with an expectation of three days each week in-office for coordination and collaborative purposes.</p><p></p><p>The estimated salary range for this position is $215,000 to $235,000. Actual salary determination is dependent on a variety of factors some of which include: experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus or an incentive compensation plan (eligibility varies based on role and position level), discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package.</p>
