By applying our expertise and pushing boundaries, together we strive to better serve our customers, strengthen our impact across our industry, and ultimately our positive impact on society.</p><p>Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.</p><p>This position reports to the <b>Senior Director, Digital Technology</b> and is part of the Digital Team located in Cambridge, UK and will be an on-site role.  </p><p></p><p><b>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</b></p><ul><li>Develop and own the enterprise architecture strategy and reference architecture.</li><li>Lead simplification and continuous Improvement efforts across the digital estate, including application rationalization, integration strategy, and technology consolidation.</li><li>Collaborate with Product and Engineering to guide solution design and ensure alignment with architectural principles.</li><li>Implement architecture governance frameworks, decision boards, and technical standards.</li><li>Oversee technology lifecycle management, including cloud strategy, modernization, and decommissioning.</li><li>Ensure architecture decisions support security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The essential requirements of the job include</b></p><ul><li>BSc Degree in appropriate technical capability Computer Science, Information systems, or Engineering (MSc /MBA preferred)</li><li>Extensive experience (10–15 years) in enterprise and solution architecture within complex environments.</li><li>Demonstrated success in simplifying and modernizing large technology estates.</li><li>Expertise in cloud-native architectures, API strategies, data platforms, and integration patterns.</li><li>Direct Experience of working on Oracle Fusion stacks leveraging Mulesoft integrations connecting standard and/or bespoke built applications to deliver business critical services. </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel, Motor Vehicle Record &amp; Physical/Environment Requirements:</b> <i>if applicable for role</i></p><ul><li><i>Potential for occasional travel to one of Abcam’s global offices</i></li></ul><p></p><p><b>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</b></p><ul><li>Background in global, multi‑country corporate organisations, with strong awareness of cross‑cultural norms and collaboration practices</li></ul><p></p><p>Abcam, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
