<p><strong>Job Overview</strong></p>
<p>Kardigan is seeking a dynamic and strategic&nbsp;<strong>Director of Medical Affairs Strategy &amp; Operations</strong>&nbsp;to lead the development, execution, and optimization of global medical affairs processes and strategic initiatives. This role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of impactful medical strategies across therapeutic areas.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead strategic planning and execution of Medical Affairs initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.</li>
<li>Drive operational excellence through process improvement, change management, and performance tracking.</li>
<li>Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Compliance) to ensure seamless integration of medical strategies.</li>
<li>Lead the&nbsp; annual planning process, including budget development, resource allocation, and goal setting</li>
<li>Develop and maintain global standards and best practices for Medical Affairs activities including grants, symposia, advisory boards, and scientific exchange in collaboration with key cross-functional partners.</li>
<li>Provide leadership and mentorship to Medical Affairs team members</li>
<li>Enhance and oversee metrics and KPIs to track performance fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.</li>
<li>Monitor industry trends and regulatory guidance to inform strategic decisions and maintain compliance.</li>
<li>Represent Kardigan at external forums and contribute to shaping industry standards by leading and participating in advisory boards, symposia, and scientific conferences to gather insights and disseminate clinical data.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Preferred Skills</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field. Masters of Science or MBA preferred. PMP certification preferred.</li>
<li>10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with significant exposure to Medical Affairs. Additional experience in Clinical Operations preferred.</li>
<li>Proven track record in strategic planning, operational leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.</li>
<li>Experience with process excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and global medical affairs operations.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.</li>
