Drive standardization and process throughout the division. Support global vascular manufacturing sites with engineering support, inclusive of solution-recommendations and tactical implementation. Understanding current IT and OT platforms and corresponding validations and controls. Ability to lead these implementations with coordination with corp. Responsible for ensuring medical product manufacturing is compliant and solutions are released through partnership with operations and quality teams. Lead discovery, design and implement agile systems with scalability and fit for purpose in mind to driving optimization within manufacturing. Responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient, highly motivated, technical development organization. Develop engineering roadmap that aligns with the long-term strategic plan within operations.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Work On </b></p><ul><li>Functional management of product development engineering disciplines in a FDA controlled environment.</li><li>Engineering Department Budgeting/ensure P&L meets budget</li><li>Assessment and management of outsourced developers.</li><li>Drive strong rigor around regulations and compliance.</li><li>Execute solutions with strong project management concepts</li><li>New technology assessment and road mapping.</li><li>Career development of direct reports.</li><li>Support of product development objectives and milestones.</li><li>Communicate group status to senior staff.</li><li>Help define and establish companywide policies and procedures.</li><li>Lead & direct engineering product development teams.</li><li>Manage budgets for appropriate activities.</li><li>Ensure teams are compliant with Quality System requirements.</li><li>Services, troubleshoots, and solves engineering problems with processes or equipment already in operation.</li><li>Ensures processes and procedures follow regulations as well as support the Opex culture.</li><li>May be responsible for corrective and preventive actions and investigation management.</li><li>Manage TPM and Sterilization teams</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Associates degree in related field</li><li>Minimum 12 years In product development roles, experience with medical device development preferred.</li><li>Direct experience both developing and supervising product development programs</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or related preferred</li><li>Master Degree preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><a href="https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en" target="_blank"><b>APPLY NOW</b></a><b><u>:</u></b></p><p></p><p>Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
