Job Details:

Haemonetics is seeking a strategic and highly influential Director, Global Healthcare Economics & Reimbursement Strategy to play a critical role in advancing our value-based selling capabilities across the hospital business (BMT and IVT portfolios). This is a newly created role designed to elevate how we articulate and quantify the clinical and economic value of our technologies.  This role will be Hybrid at 125 Summer Street in Downtown Boston (across from the South Station)

This leader will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex healthcare economics into compelling, customer-facing value narratives. The role will enable the field organization to effectively engage clinical, financial, and executive decision-makers by demonstrating how Haemonetics solutions contribute to high-quality, cost-effective care—improving patient outcomes, reducing complications, shortening length of stay, and lowering total cost of care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Economic Modeling & Value Analytics:

• Build health-system-specific economic models and ROI frameworks to support large-scale Value Partnership deals, including multi-year agreements with IDNs and government health authorities.

• Design and oversee advanced health economic models, including:

• Cost-effectiveness analyses

• Budget impact models

• Total cost of care analyses

• Hospital-based models

Reduced complications

Shortened length of stay

Improved throughput and operational efficiency

Lower total cost of care

Evidence Generation & Outcomes Measurement:

· Partner with Clinical Research and Medical Affairs to design real-world evidence (RWE) and outcomes studies aligned to payer and Hospital-based expectations.

· Define measurable clinical, operational, and economic endpoints.

Market Access & Policy Impact:

· Support reimbursement strategy and coding initiatives (e.g., CPT/APC codes), collaborating with Government Affairs on CMS engagement and advocacy; Define and monitor market access KPIs, including; Coverage decisions, Reimbursement levels, Policy adoption timelines.

Value Communication & Market Enablement:

· Develop compelling value narratives, economic tools, and payer-facing materials

· Ensure all value propositions are supported by clearly defined, trackable KPIs that resonate with stakeholders (e.g., cost per patient, improved outcomes, system efficiency gains).

· Partner with Global Commercial Marketing to integrate KPI-driven value messaging into product launches and competitive positioning strategies.

· Ensure consistency and accuracy in all economic claims and messaging

Value-Based Selling:

· Equip the sales organization with training and messaging to confidently lead conversations on economic value, cost of care, and patient outcomes

· Develop and deploy clear, data-driven value stories tailored to key stakeholders (clinical, supply chain, finance, C-suite)

· Develop high-impact materials to support strategic accounts, including executive presentations and value cases

· Partner with sales teams on strategic customer engagements where healthcare economics and reimbursement expertise is critical

· Partner with Marketing, Clinical and Medical Affairs to build executive level messaging built on evidence-based insights that reinforce Haemonetics’ differentiated value proposition

Market Insights & Thought Leadership:

· Act as the internal expert on evolving healthcare payment models, including value-based care, ACOs, bundled payments, and IDN economics

· Support reimbursement strategy and coding initiatives (e.g., CPT/APC codes), collaborating with Government Affairs on CMS engagement and advocacy.

· Educate the organization on key shifts in how healthcare systems evaluate and purchase solutions-moving beyond upfront cost to total value

· Provide ongoing insights into reimbursement landscapes, policy changes, and market dynamics that impact customer decision-making

Cross-Functional Partnership:

· Partner with Marketing to: Shape product positioning grounded in economic value; Develop targeted campaigns and customer-facing materials (e.g., value dossiers, economic calculators, case studies); Inform go-to-market strategies aligned to customer buying behaviors

· Collaborate with Clinical, Medical Affairs, and R&D to ensure alignment between clinical evidence and economic messaging

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, MHA, or related field)

· 10–12+ years of experience in healthcare economics, reimbursement, health policy, market access, or related field

· Experience in medical devices, healthcare consulting, or provider systems strongly preferred

· Proven track record supporting large, complex strategic deals and partnerships with health-economic evidence and ROI tools - including multi-year, multi-site program economics, capital investment justification, and performance modeling. Strong understanding of hospital financials, IDN structures, and value-based care models

· International healthcare economics experience and cross-cultural stakeholder engagement.

· Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage senior healthcare stakeholders

· Highly collaborative, strategic thinker with an ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Pay Transparency:

The pay range for this role is:

$149,200.00-$254,000.00/Annual

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles.

 

Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.
