General Description:
Director, Field Tools will serve as a strategic partner for Commercial and Medical Affairs Teams to support the launch and commercialization of BeOne’s Oncology portfolio in North America. This position will specifically manage the ongoing implementation support for Field BI Tools and other Technology Platform needs of the teams and serve as a strategic partner aligning technology solutions to support business strategy and initiatives. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Data Strategy & BI and will partner closely with Field Teams under Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Med Affairs and Analytics functions. This position will drive continuous improvements in field tools, identify innovative ways of provisioning key business insights, and integrate technology in key business processes to help the Commercial/Medical Affairs organization achieve desired business outcomes.
Essential Job Function
- Serve as a strategic business partner for North America Commercial and Medical Affairs Field Leadership teams supporting ongoing functional priorities and execution with the platform/technology services offered by GCMT team.
- Engage and partner with local stakeholders to build and execute on the plan and roadmap of Field insights solutions. Enable and leverage AI solutions in the field tools for rapid insights generation and automation.
- Partner with Regional Leadership team members and Analytics functions to understand their local execution strategy and translating it into requirements around customer and business insights,
- Gathers business requirements and works with the respective platform owners as well as vendors to deliver solutions in the tools provided for the business units.
- Oversee Reporting operations and ensure highest standards of data quality for business insights working closely with data management and BI teams.
- Lead resource allocation and prioritization across regions. Partner with local stakeholders to understand near term and long-term priorities for resource planning and capacity allocation.
- Collaborate with vendor partners, developers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle of Field insights solutions.
- Champion the Field Tools and other technology platforms across the Field Teams, driving tool adoption and confidence in the applications. Co-lead development of a training curriculum for Field Teams to support ongoing onboarding and proficiency in the platforms. Monitor ongoing utilization of the Field Tools and solicit feedback from stakeholders to drive utilization.
- Implement Field Tools & other technology solutions to streamline key business processes, from territory management to engagement planning and execution to performance tracking and business reviews. Incorporate modular design thinking to identify opportunities of automation of manual business processes.
- Serve as bridge between with Sales, Market Access, Regional Marketing and Medical Affairs teams to help drive ongoing enhancements to the Field Tools. Oversee release planning for all enhancements, including compliance and data privacy reviews, hyper-care support, release communication, user training, office hours and associated Change Management.
- Partner with Commercial and Medical Affairs Leadership to drive standardization of Field Tools and functionality within across markets. Help guide the local Commercial and Medical Affairs organization towards a scalable and efficient setup to support future portfolio expansion for BeOne.
- Organize large cross functional/multi-workstream initiatives/programs involving multiple technology teams and stakeholder groups. Establish best project management practices to organize project plans, manage interdependencies and enable prioritization of resources to deliver on the technology solution.
- Oversee ongoing technical operations and Field support associated with Field Tools including – user access management, platform availability, application refreshes, regular data or information inquiries, platform communications – outages, upgrades, regular maintenance etc.
- Collaborate with Marketing Promotions teams to ensure all relevant digital content/multimedia is available to the field teams through the field tools.
- Lead ongoing technical data operations and stewardship that impacts Field Tools/Technology platforms – including ongoing territory structure changes, IC credit re-assignment and affiliation changes.
- Build out a team to provide support to the multiple cross functional field teams (Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regional Marketing), and establish clear support SLAs around different categories of Field Tools/application support. Establish a support framework for reliable and timely resolution of issues raised by stakeholders.
- Be responsible for ensuring highest integrity, consistency and quality in the reporting and ad hoc analytics layers. Enable analytics user community to run self-service analytics and build custom reports for their functional areas.
- Collaborate with Data strategy and Data Integration partners to inform secondary data needs emerging from Field Teams. Partner with Data Strategy Lead to organize trainings and drive awareness around secondary data eco-system and associated insights in Field Tools.
- Partners with business leaders to understand their needs, and establish ongoing cadence for alignment on strategic priorities, upcoming initiatives, and emerging needs. Coordinate and drive agenda with the relevant stakeholders for these meetings.
- Drive awareness with stakeholders around best practices for platform enhancement process and software development lifecycle, and also help manage expectations around timelines and turnaround for enhancements.
- Establish operational reliability and readiness of all solutions prior to transitioning into production through quality assurance testing, assisting in user acceptance testing and review of various production transition plans.

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, with deep understanding of Commercial and Medical Affairs business applications and technology solutions.
- Looking for good team management skills both direct and matrix.
- Strong data knowledge with pharmaceutical business knowledge and technical aptitude to define and advance commercial solutions.
- Understanding of best practices around Technology Product Management and Technical Product Support.
- Experience working in fast paced environment servicing large number of Field users.
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills and presentation and project management skills.
- Ability to coordinate needs assessments across the commercial organization, and an ability to deliver a comprehensive solution to those needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a matrixed environment, and an ability to build solid relationships / make connections across the organization.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and solid business acumen with the ability to manage and provision large amounts of data to enable business analysis with high level of performance and trust.
- Ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions to a wide business audience and communicate solution value.
- Must be able to identify operational weakness and implement corrective action / plan.
- Proven ability to grow and develop others.
Education Required:
- Bachelors in Science/Engineering/Information Management or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Travel:
- Estimated 10-15%, primarily for key planning sessions, workshops, or major launch initiatives.

Salary Range: $172,500.00 - $232,500.00 annually

Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
