The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in integration architecture, hands-on experience with the stand-up and operation of Boomi and Snowflake, and a strong background in biotech or pharmaceutical environments where compliance and data integrity are paramount.</p> <p>This role is accountable for:</p> <ul> <li>Enterprise data architecture</li> <li>Integration architecture and platform strategy</li> <li>Applicable Cloud-native AWS architecture</li> <li>Dyne’s Snowflake data platform</li> <li>Boomi (or equivalent) integration platform</li> <li>Design and build-out of an AI Technology Foundry</li> </ul> <p>The Director will establish scalable, compliant, and secure architectures that support Dyne’s clinical, commercial, research, and corporate functions, while enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities. This leader will work cross-functionally with our Managed Service Provider, Omnichannel Digital Marketing Team, IT, Clinical, Commercial Operations, Finance, and external partners in a highly regulated biotech environment.</p> <p>This role is based in Waltham, MA. <br> <br><strong>Primary Responsibilities Include:</strong> </p> <p><em>Enterprise Data & Integration Architecture Leadership</em></p> <ul> <li>Own and define enterprise data architecture and integration architecture standards across Dyne.</li> <li>Serve as the architectural authority for system-to-system integrations, data flows, APIs, and event-based architectures.</li> <li>Design scalable patterns for integrating internal platforms and external partners, including: <ul> <li>3PLs</li> <li>Specialty pharmacies</li> <li>CROs</li> <li>Data aggregators</li> <li>Commercial, clinical, and regulatory systems</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensure architectural alignment across ERP, CRM, HRIS, Channel, and analytics platforms.</li> <li>Establish architectural principles that support “build once, scale across products and geographies.”</li> </ul> <p><em>Integration Ownership & Development</em><em>:</em></p> <ul> <li>Provide executive oversight of the integration approach, tools and platforms</li> <li>Serve as the primary owner of the Boomi integration platform and Snowflake data lake environment.</li> <li>Design, build, and deploy integrations between internal systems and external partners (e.g., 3PL, specialty pharmacy, CROs, data aggregators).</li> <li>Develop and maintain integration workflows, connectors, APIs, and ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion and transformation.</li> <li>Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, and compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP).</li> <li>Support the onboarding of the company’s data aggregator</li> </ul> <p><em>Platform Management</em><em>:</em></p> <ul> <li>Configure, optimize, and maintain Boomi and Snowflake environments.</li> <li>Manage user access, roles, and permissions for integration and data platforms.</li> <li>Implement best practices for security, performance, and scalability.</li> <li>Monitor integration and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement error handling, logging, and alerting.</li> <li>Lead the end-to-end AWS architecture supporting data integration and transformation, Snowflake integration, Analytics and BI, AI/ML workload management</li> </ul> <p><em>Data Modeling & Analytics Enablement</em><em>:</em></p> <ul> <li>Design and build robust data models and schemas to support business functions (Commercial, Clinical, R\&D).</li> <li>Layer on visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and dashboards.</li> <li>Support BI and dashboarding initiatives and provide guidance on data access.</li> </ul> <p><em>Collaboration & Documentation</em><em>:</em></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with IT, Commercial, Clinical, Finance, and other areas of the business as well as external vendors to understand integration requirements.</li> <li>Document integration architecture, processes, and best practices.</li> <li>Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and documentation for existing integrations and platforms.</li> </ul> <p><em>AI Technology Foundry – Strategy and Build</em></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design and build-out of the Dyne AI technology Foundry, including <ul> <li>Advanced analytics</li> <li>Machine learning</li> <li>Generative AI use case implementation</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><em>Leadership, Collaboration & Governance</em></p> <ul> <li>Act as a senior leader in the IT department and beyond; advising across the organization</li> <li>Provide mentorship and technical leadership to all those in IT</li> <li>Support vendor selection (e.g., MSP), contract evaluation and platform strategy</li> </ul> <p><strong>Education and Skills Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelors in Computer Science required, Master’s degree preferred</li> <li>10+ years of experience in integration engineering, data engineering, or related roles</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Boomi (design, deployment, administration) and Snowflake (configuration, optimization, data modeling)</li> <li>Strong understanding of APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), data formats (JSON, XML), and SQL</li> <li>Experience integrating ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other data platforms</li> <li>Proficiency with Power BI and Tableau for data visualization</li> <li>Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environments, including integrations with 3PLs, specialty pharmacies, CROs, and clinical systems</li> <li>Understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA) and data governance in life sciences</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams</li> <li>Familiarity with NetSuite, Veeva, ADP, and Snowflake integrations</li> <li>Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and security best practices</li> <li>Experience with clinical trial data, commercial sales data, and regulatory reporting</li> <li>Snowflake SnowPro certification preferred</li> <li>Boomi Developer certification preferred</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">MA Pay Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$188,000</span><span class="divider">—</span><span>$244,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p> </p> <p>The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting.
